I keep forgetting what this plant is its been growing in my garden like ten or more years lol it is a garden plant not a weed

It gets small pink flowers on a spike about a foot tall i believe the spike

The leaves grow long like a dock but its not a common dock if its in that family at all??

If i remember right its edible when young or the roots i can't remember but i do remember when i find out after the flowers its too late then i remember this time of year again but can't remember the name lol

Anyway any help guesses could be helpful thanks so much for your time xoxox

Are those mature plants you're showing us or do they get bigger? Even though I'm pretty sure YOU would know if it were this one, my other guess is comfrey. Both my guesses require the plants in your photos to not be mature. Also, if you think it's edible, I'm pretty sure that would rule foxglove out.

Sorry i just checked back in here

Very young plants just putting out new leaves in the last week or two...they die back in the fall but come back with new leaves with the dandelions ( not evergreen)
Not comfrey i have that its not sprouted yet
These leaves get about a foot long
Pink flower spikes but not foxglove i dont grow it

I think it might be related to docks but not a common dock like burdock or yellow dock
The leaves remind me of them but i don't believe its a dock ??
Its a garden plant a friend gave it to me like ten years ago but can never remember the name

Ya I will...not primrose
It has a flower spike with tiny pink flowers...kinda not looking like a flower in a way....kinda like the house plants that get tails as flowers but erect lol not bent
Probably more confusing
I've tried all sorts of search words
Maybe I should check my garden thread I might have made a note of it?

Mystery plant is flowering

Its not plantago major but the flowers resemble them

I need to talk to my friend that gave it to me because i will do an updated video on this plant
Showing all stages of life
Its been hot and dry but we just got rain and this plant falls durring this time and i start pulling leaves off because its all on my walkway getting stepped on

If i remember right its edible before flowers or something but im not certain so i didn't eat it or give it to my rabbits

I will know what it is next year lol :)

I'm curious about this one now. Please update us when you have an answer. So strange, the leaf and stem structure look like dock, the flowers kinda look like plantago sp, but something about it just doesn't strike me as either.

I asked my partner and this is what she says:

 

Its most likely in the family Polygonaceae, probably in the genus Persicaria.

 

It looks alot like Bistorta Officinalis

 

This is also a common landscape plant as an ornimental, wikipedia says its roots and shoots of its young leaves are edible steamed.

 

It just looks like the flowers haven't fully bloomed yet.

Hey Wild, they look like Canna Lilies.  Canna Indica.

Mom used to grow them.

 

Edit: They also look like Bistorta Officinalis as Moonless said. (just looked it up)

All the leaves are huge now I remembered something about it being edible but young and it's hard finding leaf identification sometimes
