i just got an Autographed copy of Keeper Trouts reference book "Some Simple Tryptamines " ...
Some of the .acknowledgments/endorsements on rear cover ..........................
Dennis McKENNA ..." What a great work !When people ask me what is the definitive reference on natural tryptamines .Now i know what to tell them ".........
Sasha Shulgin , "Totally professional scholarly work "... .
i would discribe it as a text book reference lots pics ect. just a huge amount of info on lots different plants mushrooms and animals that contain iinteresting Tryptamines
i found a on line version of first edition and did some googling and i found Keeper Trouts email and exchanged a few emails with him and he offered to sell me a autographed second edition at a reasonable price .. great reference book .

How many extractions do you have running?
I’m thinking of doing a full spectrum extraction on my whole yard myself. - “New Paper DMSO Butt Plugged Astroturf Just Like Amazonian Shaman Traditional Use”.

WHY IS THIS THREAD GETTING HIJACKED ??
WITH RUDE COMMENTS . ?
(was there a post ...a stupid post i didn't see removed ?.....and the sarcastic responses left ?
As it appears now the rude comments appear to refer to a reference text book i said i just got in the mail . This book was praised buy Dennis McKenna that even Sasha Shulgin said was a good reference book so i don't understand the negative sarcastic response .
I'm kinda disappointed in a few people i generally have a lot of respect for. ....? WTSF ?
i am defiantly no expert....... i'm just learning about these plants myself .
Why the rude comments ?.............That don't have anything to do with the subject ......? or as far i can tell any of the posts ?
This thread has nothing to do with .....shamans or.... Ayahuasca . or trendy stupid reedit boofing nonsense ............?
The point is to find and grow and test plants that people might use to extract DMT from if MHRB or Acacia get banned .seems like a worthy serious subject .?
So i am baffled why the need to post rude sarcastic comments that don't have any thing to do with the thread ? or previous post ?
please Lets not be disrespectful .
i suppose some of these plants could possibly be used to make some sorta Ayahuasca ? or not
i myself don't know anything much about that subject.. but i wouldn't mind learning more about it if some one wanted to post some serious information on Ayahuasca ? Please do .
Unnecessary rude comments that don't seem to have anything to do with the previous posts don't belong here
i am baffled .why or what caused these rude comments ?
please try to be more grown up and respectful.
if you have some relevant information please share .or criticism even of some incorrect info .would be welcomed .
Thank you .to all the have posted relevant information or Relent Criticism that relate to the subject .

After that I was sarcastically paraphrasing another poster - on another thread - a long time ago - in a galaxy far far away.

I’m not completely sure anyone is trying to be rude. Maybe just funny, but I could see how it comes off that way.
But don’t trip, man...
‘Cause I BELIEVE IN BEZ
Anyways, I found a link to the book your talking about https://archive.org/...007WithAddendum
I’m going to check it out

I've bought myself a 50cm tall Acacia Floribunda. When it's grown I'll be checking it for tryptamines - expect a report in about 5 years ...

I imagine it would be a good source if one could get it established.

Well at first I was attempting to encourage you to find and try extracting a few of the plants in your new book.
After that I was sarcastically paraphrasing another poster - on another thread - a long time ago - in a galaxy far far away.
FWIW I got the joke.

That cool-looking ribbon grass will never give you enough plant matter to do anything worthwhile in the Lab unless you have an acre of wetland that you're willing to sacrifice to P. arundinacea as an invasive marsh grass. Growing it in a container or as an ornamental "grass-puff" in your yard with constant watering is a waste of time unless you like the look of it....

"Picta" is the cultivar, the phenotype. It's P. Arundinacea with a specific striping pattern. Us humans have different cultivars/phenotypes too. Blue eyes, brown eyes, brown skin, white skin, blonde hair, red hair, etc...
Think of it like Roses... A red Rose is the same species as a yellow Rose; they're just different cultivars. Your "Picta" Phalaris arundinacea has a tiny bit of DMT in there; if you want crystalline product from cultivated phalaris be prepared to sacrifice your entire yard.
Phalaris likes wet feet... Hope you've got a swampy yard and a riding mower with a bagging attachment that can plow through the swamp...

Very interesting! Other species of Ice Plant contain a number of Tropanes. One ridiculous source said it could be cocaine like! Atropine is a Tropane and you sure as shit don't want to muck with that!

Hey Bez nice thread you made here :)
About four years ago now I stumbled on the same information from Trout and was really impressed. I was obsessed with all the psychoactive plants and even made a pamphlet of the ones in my area. I had planned to make copies and post it around my university but never got to it lol.
I was just reviewing the Baker Creek seed Catalogue and found ice plants listed as an edible ornamental! So this plant has a variety of uses beyond it's DMT content. They sell two other types of iceplant seed: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum and Delosperma floribundum (no source found) btw.

well moonless
from reading a few text were plants related to or Delosperma cooperi also known as ICE plant .were tested , most do not contain DMT . many of theses are sold as Ice plant so you would have to be aware if you are buying Delosperma cooperi
only one other closely related plant contained DMT but in smaller quantity's ,, well so far there are a few people busy experimenting and testing .
now what you must also understand is that most plants listed threw out this thread all have quite a bit less % of DMT to now fairly easy to obtain , MHRB or Various Acacia plants .
The whole idea of the thread was to
find some easy to cultivate plants / grasses etc., that would be fun to grow and experiment with . JUST For fun and to learn about then .. or increase what we know about them . just in case perhaps ,things like MHRB or Acacia would become unavailable , hummmmm? NooooooOooooOOooooooooooo..! heh so a bit of knowledge about alternative plants might become useful.
So if your interested in playing scientist you will have to also ignore the....
Whinny ! Debbie Downers... that will pipe up to say
WHY BOTHER .. ssssSssshoe Debbie !
Well because some day you might just need to know some of these things ......someday heh
Another thing one needs to keep in mind the amounts of various alkaloids in theses plants vary greatly from various seasons and even times of day ...so if one was to grow some of these plants like Delosperma cooperi . first because there nice attractive fun plants . but you must realize that you would need to do some self research to find out , When and how the alkaloid content varies .. this isn't a wizz bang done deal .....you would have to do a bit of experimenting to do ....................
unless we all get lucky and some one is doing all that research already and rext month or 5 yrs from now they publish all that interesting work they gathered , ...........Weeeeeeee...
.but in the mean time . you could choose to explore this yourself ... .... we might all thank you someday .
have fun exploring ..
i think i need an attractive ground cover with nice flowers in part of my yard ..i might try
Delosperma cooperi or ICE Plant

I'd love to see someone run an Ice Plant through a quick & dirty extraction...

Norman rocked a quick & dirty process a while ago! Give it a shot with your ice plants.
