So, idk if you guys even post grow logs anymore. I done got old. If not, delete this, or change the name.

It's been 10 years since my first grow, and damn life happened so fast, I haven't had the availability until now.

Certain perimeters in life call for a bit of stealth with dealing with things of this nature. If you are this person this is the Tek for you. I've sifted through damn near every Tek there is to find the easiest and lowest maintenance for those who work 40+ hours a week.

This is log. So not much to say. I'll post pics when I find it's ok. Again, not sure if you guys still do grow logs. But it's a big deal to me personally to share with you guys. Lol!

Take a look around in the magic mushroom forum, and you will see lots of grow logs my friend. We look forward to some details and photos as you update. Good grow vibes to you.

I’ll follow along. I also need to keep things hidden, pretty much everything from supplies to incubation and fruiting is kept packed away in a closet at all times. Stealth can be achieved if you’re motivated!

What are you gonna be growing?

So anyway. This is an edit. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but my chrome won't let me type in the browser to put my post in color. OCD trademark.

Anyway...
 My supplies are.
Small tub for substate. Larger tub for FC. As seen in a photo. Tub in tub layout.
4 twelve ounce jars. Going with WBS though it's not my favorite, I wanted similar perimeters to my first grow since it's been so long.

Cloth medical tape.
Fish pump for air intake
Sticky LED light.
Substrate will be Coir/Poo/Rye Berry.

And I'll be growing B+ that are actually related to the same B+ from years ago. A great cousin.

And my question of humidity.

With the tub in tub, couldn't I just keep fresh chlorinated water in the bottom of the FC. Just flush frequently and not use perlite? And if not, could I use peat moss and woodchips in the bottom of the FC for humidity?

The main reason to use perlite is to increase the area for water evaporation. It is possible to use coir, but it does contaminate after a while.

Some people use an air pump and a fine air stone to bubble the water and that increases evaporation.

How would chlorinated water contaminate? I'm talking the interior of the FC. Not substrate.

Chlorinated water isn't impregnable when it comes to mold and bacteria. The chlorine evaporates over a few hours, leaving it vulnerable to contamination. The same goes for the water in perlite though, so IDK...

I would recommend a dub tub. I just harvested my first flush (36g dry) from a 7.5qt dub tub setup. I used 3.75qt spawn to a 1:1:1 verm/coir/black kow sub. After it colonized, I just flipped another 7.5qt shoebox upside-down over top, and loosely secured w/ scotch tape.

I didn't modify the tubs at all, so I do have to fan 2× a day. But I have 0 complaints so far.a0327524db396778a7779d38760dad04.jpg047fbe526acd949d2886878f51473f06.jpg

I saw a really nice grow somewhere with just water recently. It could certainly be done. Perlite is going to be more splash resistant which adds to the stealth. Once you start adding organic materials to water you are making contaminant food so I’d go perlite or just water.

I have very successfully used lava stones in the bottom of an aquarium with water heavily loaded with sea salt, small trays of colonized substrates set on the stones and just fanning for FAE.....

There are a thousand ways to skin this cat actually.

With woodlovers I've been experimenting with living moss as It LOVES the CO2 and moisture. (YEAH YEAH I know all about the trich issues indoors that are possible with potting soils and plants so don't listen to me I'm sadistic)

Then there's TV's towel over the tub, kept wet, and also heavy paper towels draped over the IN sides of the FC tub and kept wet.......

I've even set a jar of HPOO and grain to fruiting in a big plastic pretzel jug with water in it....

Good growing vibes man!

Ok great. Then I'm using packing peanuts. More on that later.

Day 0 prepared my space. Just got through cooking my grain. Draining, About to prep for PC. No noteworthy pics today. Will post in am.

Day 1. Jars nocced up.

Stealth af.

Yeah. So I get to injecting them and realize I didn't remember exactly how much water was ideal. I would have got on here, but I was already in motion. So anyway, I gave them varying CC's in the name of science.

Anyway. I got an outdoor shed that gets pretty warm. I'm trying not to run the heater if not absolutely necessary. I got a laser thermometer on the way, but until then, how should I check temp? I'll have the thermometer in 6 days...

Anyway. STEALTH!!!

That's some old information, you can pressure cook sunflower seeds and what not it wont harm the jar. Just so ya know for next time, whatever saves time Is what i say.

Look forward to the rest of the log, but by gawd man b+? Someone sent me b+ spore prints contaminated with some sort of virus that doesnt go away, I'll never grow b+ again even if someone guarantees me that it's free of viruses and what not. Throwing out the rest of my spawn brother :( smells clean, looks clean but pffft no good.

I didnt see your storage space before posting....you do realize that it's less then ideal to store outside in a shed? Trich will be all over those jars due to increased drafts/moisture/mildew etc but I hope it works out for you.

Well. I decided against the shed. It was incredibly hot when I made this post. Also, that wasn't to be their permanent space anyway... So I probably shouldn't have them outside at all? I was gonna use the sun for incubation when possible? Is this a bad idea?

I was looking at my old grow with WBS. I had a few issues in the past, so soaking my grain and all that was just a fail safe. (I'll be using popcorn in the future.)

This is their actually space.
The bottom shelf in the second photo is for incubation.

The bottom tub will be my FC.

And B+ is all I've grown so far. I've not had a problem... But what strain like best? Also, it's been decade since I bought spores. So I don't know who the best vendors are. I got my print from Achtwan.

I'm no pro but have used an attic space to incubate before and it worked out. If that's possible and it's that big of a deal for u to keep it inside maybe that is an option for you. As I came along to future grows I realized that a black storage container in my closet was all the incubator I really need.

Yeah. I'm not sure what the ambient temps do at my house. I got a thermometer on the way now, but I can't check exactly, so I'm trying to make sure they're at least 80° as I keep my house right at 72 during the summer.

I'm have the AC on, so trying not to use the heater as much is my only problem, but that room seems not to leak heat too much. Idk.
