Need help ID'ing...

This spring I noc'd up some boxelder logs with Lion's Mane spawn...this afternoon I noticed there were some mushrooms growong out of the logs, but not Lion's Mane. They looked like some sort of agaricus but I didn't think they would be growing out the side of a log like that...

White, free gills. No ring. Smooth stem. 3" tall.

It seems as though I am unable to upload these photos, however it seems as though these mushrooms are elm oyster mushrooms...

Another good way to post pics is to create an observation on MushroomObserver.org or iNaturalist.org, and then link us to the observation here.   This has the advantage of creating a permanent record of what you found which others can use in their studies.

Another good way to post pics is to create an observation on MushroomObserver.org or iNaturalist.org, and then link us to the observation here.   This has the advantage of creating a permanent record of what you found which others can use in their studies.

 

 

Just wondering what you prefer to id on. My partner and I both love to use iNaturalist to upload pictures and log our seen species. I love seeing you on there making so many myco observations. Never tried mushroomobserver but am willing to give it a shot.
