I recently purchased 31 new mushroom books off of Amazon's website.  I went on a Shroom book binge.

Of the 31 books I purchased, only 3 were of real substance.

Todays nightmare is one of two books by someone named John Mush. Do not laugh, I did.  bad mistake

Histwo books are "Psilocybin Mushrooms and Magic Mushrooms, and for those who are really hard up for a new reading adventure, he offers both books together in a

special 2 for 1 deal for 1 price.

So today, I( give you about 25 pages of the crapiest book ever. But not to worry.  I also checked out another 40 that I scanned on Amazon, and found there are over

100 to 120 of these books. Most are from the Nederand.

I provide in red Ink and underlined, Important.features of these books,

FEED-BACK WOULD BE NICE>  I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO WRITE A BOOK REVIEW FOR A PROMINANT JOURNAL AND A NATIONAL

MAGAZINE ON THIS  SUBJECT.

I also am presenting 5 reviews of this book and then the trip begins.

(1): Psilocybin mushrooms: The ultimate guide for beginners and advanced to know the update cultivation methods and safe use. Learn how to prepare awesome medicinal recipes. (Magic Mushrooms Book 2) by John Mush  (Author).

4.8 out of 5 stars    6 ratings.

You Are About To Discover How To Leverage On The Limitless Power Of Psilocybin Mushrooms To Overcome Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Cancer And Other Health Problems!

The most essential psilocybin mushroom guide so far. It skyrocketed my lurking fascination for psychedelics and their usage beyond recreation. I was able to successfully identify and prepare different species thanks to pictures and very detailed descriptions. It promotes a conscious and responsible approach and deals extensively with the poisonous look-a-likes. Along with describing a lot of mushrooms individually there are chapters about the ancient history, sacred rituals, the art of wild mushroom hunting, trip preparation, personal experiences and so on..

These book is extraordinary and clear each and every subjects. Psilocybin mushrooms have an age-old history of ritual use and medication for depression, terminal illness, anxiety disorders, and mental health diseases. This book has been exceptionally helpful for me hopping on Psilocybin Mushrooms. This was a gift for a mushroom hunter.

This well-written volume has it all. History, a bit of chemistry, utilization guide, developing guide, wisdom, intelligence, you identify it. This is an interesting and complete description of psilocybin mushrooms of the world. I particularly propose it for everybody starting out in this fruitful hobby!

I had another ten pages but this is enough.  I am putting togethre for Amazon 9 books to Illustrate the problem for them  These books have been selling to many who just did not complain, outside of bad English comments. The ones above were on this book when it came out,.

Iscanned covers for 70 books but they have once 100-120 such Ebooks with Kindle editions as well.

Amazon intends to go after these people. Some books had\ nmaes of known books ,like Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World, and the Mushroom Cultivators Bible. and authors of some were named Michell Stamets and Kerry McKenna. Both the later had the exact same book for sale, cover and inside contents the same. There was also abn Anton McKenna.

Plagiarism by someone using a translation to their native language with no real understanding about what they are putting into print!

The reviews are a fine example of either idiots or paid reviewers or maybe even the "author" doing his own reviews.

Pathetic excuse of a book!

This is something I've been worried about happening as psychedelics in general and fungi in particular gain more mainstream acceptance.

It's probably inevitable that lots of fly-by-night, self-serving scammers and assorted bottom-feeding profiteers who have no clue what they're talking about (and don't care who they harm) will try to cash in on whatever the latest cultural trend is.

I mean, there's a photo of an Amanita on the cover of a book titled "Psilocybin Mushrooms" for fuck's sake, which really ought to tell us everything we need to know about it. Unfortunately, most people wouldn't necessarily know just how wrong the "info" in that book really is, which is potentially dangerous on several levels (including possibly inspiring some well-meaning rookie psychonaut to chomp down a bunch of A. muscaria mushrooms after seeing them on the cover of that book about psilocybes and assuming they were an example of one).

Debunking and correcting that kind of crap is one of the reasons why this site exists, and getting accurate info out to counter the nonsense is fast becoming an essential public service now that just about everyone is getting curious about these "magic" mushrooms they keep hearing about. Debunking this kind of nonsense is an equally-important public service and while I figured it was getting bad, this thread really drives home just how bad it's actually been getting.

Perhaps posting a real review for that and similar books is in order? It seems pretty obvious that the reviews it currently has were fake, and seem written by the same person. In any case I appreciate the head's-up about this as it reinforces just how important it is to be getting accurate information out there and calling out and debunking the misinformation, propaganda, and outright lies.

Keep up the largely thankless but clearly necessary good work!

I have done reviews  now on 7 of the books. andI will be riting a real review for a journal and a magazine. Altogether there are  abut 120 of these shitty books on  Amazon.  All close to this. Lessthan 12 pages on cultivation in the book but many sentences and paragrapnhswere sccrambled.  many have repetition throughout the b oks as well  andbad infoon poisonous shrooms

Do you think the guy may be using the name John Mush to piggy back the search engines from your books and writing? I can see someone searching Mushroom John Alan and google or amazon will post results for John Mush as well.
