Hi !

 

I'm on this forum since long time ago, never registered, but i ned help ..

 

I've make a monotub, and make substrat with coco coir and vermiculite.

My cake was BRF tek, when fully colonized, i put it in my substrat. 

 

So wait about 1 month, the mycelium was white, and smell very good ! 

 

When it was time to harvest the first mushroom, i found some problems .. (I think ?)

 

As you can see, there is yellow/orange mark.

 

 

 

 

 

So i taken the first harvest, here is the second, and yellow continue to be. And substrat look so strange. But, no smell problem..

 

 

 

 

I don't know what is it ? Maybe too dry ? i hydrate walls with water in spray.

 

If someone can helps me !

What makes you thinks the discoloration is a problem? Most folks think that the Fuzzy Feet that you're looking at as the problem caused by high humidity. I don't mind some yellow fuzzy feet! Personally I would be more concerned about why that tub isn't packed full of of discolored mushrooms than the minor aesthetics of the few.

 

When you find the balance of air and humidity that creates full flushes, I think you will have figured out the how to avoid the issues you're concerned with now.

Thansk a lot ! So, it's not a problem, just humidity/dry problems ! I have project to buy an hygrometer !
