Thanks Moonless!! Thanks Arathu!! I'm really happy that they are happy! Arathu, you might be onto something when you say the mushrooms are training us... I've seen your edibles thread, I'm sure you'll have some of your own soon enough.
There will be one more set of pictures of them tomorrow before I pick the one block. Then another once they are trimmed up. I have a feeling as I let the other block go it will start to darken a bit. Spores though. It will be worth it.

Todays Lion's Mane update
Harvested and trimmed the total for the one block I harvested came in @ 17oz. It was 26oz before getting rid of the funky stuff.
There's part of dinner for the next couple nights . I will update the next couple days as I attempt to get Spores.

Man does that look good....I want a ten foot log popping those out.....it's coming sooner or later.....
I find them wild here just about the time I start looking for sheepheads........
Nice work man!

I was rushing about yesterday and forgot to picture the 2nd block before I harvested it. Visually, it looked to be a little bit more than the first. I took 4 spore prints, 2 in jars with no tinfoil, and 2 with in jars with foil lining the bottom, the little pom-pom suspended above with a skewer across the top of the jar. looks like I got plenty of spores with both methods. The Jars with no lining will be super easy to make spore syringes with.
I can confirm that the lion's mane is very tasty. The central portions get very spongy and chewy, but the choice parts ( the matured spine area ) are fantastic.
