What is the intended species of mushrooms you are wanting to grow with that jar?

Honestly it's between Golden teacher and Amazonian* if I spelt it right. The syringe was labeled rather odd and off for me. I made a remark about it when I wrote the review to the seller. So I do not have a definite answer. Why?

That doesn't look like normal typical Cubensis mycelium from here. Might be something weird with the grain prep or maybe its not cubes, but there is something definitely weird. I hope I am proven wrong in my assumption but I hope you have plan B going and don't get to upset if this doesn't go as well as planned. I can't id what its is but and betting its not cubes.

I always have a plan B. I'll smell it tomorrow and decide on whether to dunk it or not.

.[/quote to dunk it or not.[/quote] idk what you mean by this ? Dunking is usually reserved for brown rice flour cakes .

It does look odd to me too. Possibly wet spot bacteria ? Might need a little less moisture when you grain prep . Good job on getting this far .

That does not look like psilo myc at all. I would scrap that jar and start over.

Bacterial at least. I also fear this mycelium may just be a competitor mold.

I’ve had jars go gray on me, but only after letting it sit for to long. I’m not sure what the gray is
But it’s no bueno. I lost all My photos(stupid Phone) I could share what my jars did.

Don’t get discouraged, failure is a great teacher.

Good luck. When it hits you’ll Be stoked.
