How many of you guys run exotics in just un modified tubs? I figure semp and mexicana could run fairly well since they are closest to cube parameters. It's very interesting how this community has evolved over time. I would love to get information out there on how to run a few tubs as simple as possible and yield a far greater product! Show us your mycoporn and rain down your knowledge

Either search out thebj donoe go to the Semperviva thread and ask about CaptainFuture’s tub setup. It’s simple I know, but I sonMr know the simple details. Several others have the info straight from him and are actively using it.

Checkout https://mycotopia.ne...-grow-tutorial/ which is on the first page of this forum right now. Pretty simple setup just adds a 12v computer fan, blue leds, and air pump.

 

Another simple setup https://mycotopia.ne...=+chicon +nindo from here which is just a tote, air pump, humidifier and later adds blue leds. The before / after difference with blue LED's made me a believer and I've used them for cubes as well as mexicanas ever since.

 

The primary theme is that these prefer a bit more fresh air then cubes so the addition of a fan / air pump is common. I believe everyone uses light for their grows just maybe not specifically blue spectrum. Wow that was full of autocorrect. The captain future tub is 4 holes fanned once a day I believe. I’ve seen Galindoi in unmodified mono recently. The Semperviva thread has a variety of tub designs. Archetype I believe has the biggest yield for Semperviva in a straight mono. I don’t know for certain. That thread has a lot of traffic from successful growers that don’t often post outside of that thread.

I don't see a reason why straight monos would not work. Just a bit more hands on TLC required for the extra FAE and misting. I'm not up to speed on the semperviva thread Jrotten mentions.
