airflow question for popcorn

will do hip, i thought i remembered reading that somewhere.... does it really make a huge difference when u pc versus simmer? i simmered till i could easily bite a kern in half... hope it works.

oh and one more thing, how long should i pc for to sterilize? ive read anywhere from 30 minutes to 90. how long would u guys suggest?

No lid for that filter setup. That is the beauty of it. I would NOT advise putting a lid on under it bay any means. Do it and find out the hard way just how had it is to find a 1/16" hole with a 1/16" needle through a filter of that magnitude.

The whole setup will stay right where you put it, provided you tighten the band down (probably even if not), but tighten it down anyway. It works. I know this.

My FOAF likes to PC popcorn for 90 minutes just to be safe.

You can fix any excess moisture problems by just adding a small amount of dry verm after the popcorn is hydrated. About a tablespoon per cup seems to work wonders for soaking up any extra water.
