I cloned from a different mushroom in a previous flush, it just went to grain. I'm hoping to get a trashcan of Fp+ going soon.

A took some clones from a normal looking Fp+ and started over from spore. I'd like to make a trashcan of Fp+ before it gets cold here.

I guess I mean I’m general they’re on the smaller side… at least the main pheno. Some OMC members have gotten larger fruits but they tend to be more on the AA+ end of the spectrum. I’d imagine they’re more on that end for potency as well unfortunately.

I didn’t really think of the fact that most ppl do agar work nowadays so I’m gonna see the various phenos because it’s still early in the gens as ppl transfer away from germ plates

I’m not complaining tho, I prefer the smaller fruits as long as there’s a lot of them and they come off the sub easily lol. I might’ve subconsciously selected for those characteristics

Here are a couple more from the "Hobbit's pipe" bag, outside. The stipes are solid and crazy with bumps. The upturned caps are meaty and beautiful! I have a Fp+ clone I just started and some germination plates getting grain tomorrow night. I already took transfer that are growing and the agar is still clean so, why not?

Alrighty, things are back underway! Not growing for any kind of bulk this fall but I do have the goal of getting these guys to f7 and doing a nice release of them if all goes as planned. So far, so good

On 9/30 I made some 4oz grain jars and a couple cakes… I took the f5 (the gen the spores produce) swabs and made them into SS. For this project I have 2 four oz wheat jars and two pf cakes. Today I saw germ on both 4oz grain jars and both pf cakes, so about 5 days to see germ

The plan is to fruit the cakes as is and then take the best looking 4oz grain jar and glc that to a qt and make a zipblock and also spawn both 4oz grain jars to sandwich baggies. I’m going to try laymixing the zipblock with a compressed 1” top layer and see how they do

Feels good to be back at it and I’m very excited about these guys.. I think they’ll be more user friendly than the fp+. Stay tuned for that.

Also reviving the fp+ f7 clone culture from dried out grain.. made glc from this dried jar from late March


Knocked up 3 new 4oz jars of wheat and a qt on 9/30.. saw new growth this morning in a couple 4oz jars and the qt


I need some more swabs of those guys.. plan on making a 1qt zipblock with it that I’m going to do laymixing with a 1” compressed top layer. :)

Fp+ Dried grain revival going well.. just shook this guy tonight along with the qt.. forgot how dense and slow the myc grows



Also shook the PE/RW 4oz jars.. the cakes are doing well.. lots of good germ (I use a rez column down the center of my cakes.. that’s what’s going on there.. it’s just a column of dry verm stuffed down the center)

You inspired me, again. The other night I put a dried grain from caerulescens, subtropicalis and zapotecorum to agar. I also put a few grains from each into jewel bags. I plan to put 1-2ml sterile water into each bag w/a syringe, rub the grains a little and suck it back out, a mini GLC! These grains have been dried since early June. I also have some pan grains aging now.

Might need a separate grain drying thread Faht! :)

Yeah I plan on making a thread… I just need to attempt/perfect the damprid quick drying aspect of it and then I’ll present it. I kind of already have a section in my cloning and lid threads but it kind of gets glossed over a bit.

The PE/RW f5 is going awesome too.. both 4oz jars are almost colonized.


the jar on the right is actually already recovered from using it to Glc it to a qt on Monday..


I just shook it… it’ll probably be ready for spawning in 5 or so days.

PE/RW f5 swab SS > grains and cakes goin good. That bottom jelly jar donated its myc via glc to the qt 5 days ago, should be ready to spawn by day 7 (might be my fastest ms qt to date) Good recovery on the glc jar. Cakes are @ about 80% outside colonized… top layer of MTP removed today. Everything appears to be clean as a whistle


The qt is zipblock bound (gonna try a laymixed w/1” compressed TL if I can get it all into the 8oz container).. 2 jelly jars are going to sandwich baggies and the cakes will be in a larger ziplock together.. think I’ll roll them in CV ala Mateja (OMC member)

Fp+ f7 clone dried grain revival (quick recap: used dried grains from late March to knock up a qt and 3 new glc grain jars a couple weeks ago)

Qt is ready and I’ll be also zipblocking that laymix style tomorrow. Gave the top jelly jar a final shake to check for recovery two days ago and the bottom 2 yesterday. Those will then be used in the damprid experiment (as suggested by OMC member micello) to dry them out in a few days (if not faster hopefully) rather than a few weeks of passive drying
