It’s all the same sub composition. Coir/verm. Usually between 1:3 - 1:4 spawn/sub whatever FC they’re in

Out of curiosity, how do you do your GLCs Faht?

Thanks! I just use 4oz jars with 2/3 grain. Inoculate that and let colonize. Then inject 20ml of sterile water and slosh the grains around in the bottom of the jar to inoc the myc off the grains and into the water. Then suck that out and use it to inoculate qts. I’ll spawn the glc grains to sandwich bag subs so I can see how the qts will do if all goes right. I do a lot of spores to grain so I’ll make at least a couple 4oz glc jars so send the best looking one to qts. The rest get spawned

You kill it with the GLC so id figure id give it a go. I only have one stir plate so it seems like a good solution for a little LC for smaller grow projects that I don't wanna make a whole 500 ml LC for. I had always been hesitant to try way back when because of all the skeptics bashing it. You've proven it's a great method though. I have a few pints of mexicana ill try it with. I used clones from agar for them.

Do you make GLC from grains colonized by MS directly? If so, what's the contam rate?

Ii do.. it’s pretty low but I think my swabs are pretty clean to start. We keep a really clean environment. I rarely see mold. Bacteria mostly and it’s usually not debilitating

Claketi jars just about finished.. they’re both going to a qt bag together, no expansion because I think the qt bag will show enough variation for visual confirmation
