So, I was out grazing the place my family and I go chanterelle hunting, when I saw what I thought was a couple patches of wild liberties, but I wanted to make sure. My old man said he thought they looked like the ones him and his buddies used to pick back in the day, but couldn’t say for certain since it’d been so long. We’re out in the PNW around SW Washington, and, from what I read, I wanna to say yes, but, you guys know how that can go.

I actually may have just stumbled upon what they are, and I don’t think they are liberties. Believe they may be
Just some kind of field mushroom, more specifically psathyrella Gracilis. Thoughts?

Can't tell you what they are but definately not liberty caps!

Definitely not, they don't have the characteristic liberty nipple on the top of the cap.

Yeah, it was literally right after I’d posted it that I’d found a couple more pictures of them that were better than the one I’d originally been looking at, and they have rather pronounced tops With that nipple. Almost reminded me of a witch’s hat for some reason, too.

Psathyrella corrugis is correct.   They used to be called Psathyrella gracilis.
