Pec3 (untested clone that was in stasis since last December

Pec4 (also was in stasis but was tested and did great)

Little update on my glad containers… I think I used too high of a ratio (or low.. I still don’t know how to say it ) and thats why I saw blobbing even after the 2” layer.. it was a 1:2. It’s a theory I’ve been think for a long time.. high nutes in the sub causes some sub strains of PE to mutate.. I believe it’s why on the second flush of blob tubs you see regular fruits and putting a thick top layer and casing layers in to raise the fruiting surface away from the high nute source cause normal fruits.. just a theory and could be in conjunction with other factors like unbroken colonies like Cakes which see less blobbing
Anyway.. after I saw blobbing, I put down a very think late casing layer and it seems to have helped.. lined tub:

The non lined tub is blobbing more (with some top pins) on the sides and I attribute that to not having a liner

Lookin good Faht.
Do you keep the genetics for ALL these different variations? I've only been hanging round for less than a year and it's seems like there have been dozens in that time alone. I can picture a walk in cooler lined with slants and an old alien corpse on ice.

Then I also print to jars that I can use a magnet to scrape the spores off the glass into the water.. here’s a mix of genetics ive got dried out or in jar prints

Here’s the genetics I’m currently working with in various states of growth

Then I glc those to qts

Then to tubs or ziplocks

Or I have swabs that I turn into spore solution

This PE culture was dried out since last December

Same with this one

Freaky has used the method.. maybe when she’s back around, she’ll pop in and give feedback on it

Just a warning to ppl that may be buying peat Moss.. I had a bad experience with miracle grow brand. First bag I bought this year was great.. got 3 great performing tubs out of it.. it looked amazing actually (didn’t even have to sift it.. barely any sticks or chunks in it) and then I went and bought another bag… terribly chunky and had a ton of sticks. It wasn’t until after I pasteurized it that I noticed a smell that was like motor oil or some heavy chemical (they add plant food and fertilizer to their peat Moss)
I chalked it up to a bad bag and went and got another one and same thing.. I read an old post that someone said the myc will just eat through the ferts so I decided to use it.. baaad idea.. while the myc ate through the casing, when it came time for fruiting, the casing layer turned blue and barely grew any fruits and if they did, they were blobs.
Idk if I just got lucky with the first bag or unlucky with a bad batch (too many ferts and plant food) with the second and third, but it fucked up 7 of my tubs
I actually cut off the casings and now am trying to get what I can from the subs but buyer beware. Now I’m using Hoffman’s organic Canadian peat Moss and it’s awesome.. looks, smells and is performing like it should.
I lost about 6oz from the 7 tubs I used the MG peat with.. I did get some fruits from each tub after cutting the casing off but definitely took a loss.. good news though! The Hoffman’s peat is working great and I’m back on track with a bunch of new tubs.. here’s the fullest one coming in

Lots of pics coming up!

Update.. I had problems with miracle grow peat… here’s a post I made about it at another site:

I just opened my first ever bag of MG peat moss. Had this bag for maybe 2 years now. Smells fine it's currently mixed with verm and pasteurizing I'll give it a whiff as I case. Hoping it doesn't screw over semps, pans and mexs.
It had a nice earthy smell almost indistinguishable from coir to me. Maybe more "soily". The texture is beautiful nice even short strands. Great stuff I need to use it in the garden.
Thanks for heads up

Tub 2 coming in hot

Tub 3 is actually a thick top layer tub that I only did 1.5” TL (the standard is 2”) and it was starting to show signs of blob knots so I put a very thin casing layer just to cover the knots and now it’s pinning.. this guy is probably ~ 1:5 ratio with the TL.. there’s only 3” of headroom so I might have to dub tub it

Lots more coming up!
