Pea+ clone tubs.. doing some experimenting with top layer thickness and timing.. I did a late casing on both tubs and both performed/are performing better than just a top layer side

While it doesn’t blob like PE, it is picky when it comes to getting enough pins for a full canopy. I think I’ve got a solid plan for the next tubs

Faht any tips for swabs? I usually just streak multiple plates with the q-tib. Then the best part that a lot of you will hate! I stick the swab directly into agar and usually the wood has mycellium shooting all out of it.

Only been three days after swabbing, and I'm used to seeing some myc jump off (i know being impatient). Do you tend to use a squirt of sterile water to free the spores from the swab?

Ppl I know like to snip fibers off and stick them in slits in the agar. A little sterile water could probably help.. I don’t do agar and make spore solution from the swabs but it can definitely take longer than 3 days.. they were made in December so it shouldn’t take too long

Hey there faht. Not sure we ever talked alot I was really active here last year and I remember reading all of your content with fervor. Really added to the pool of info here and elsewhere when I was first starting out. I'm sure I remember talking with you a bit I just been gone for a year now.

Nah it was me.. I needed to be a bit on the DL because I didn’t want certain ppl to know I was growing again. They’re no longer a threat to me (don’t worry I didn’t kill them or anything lol) and I can be open about it again. Felt weird and shitty being covert about it.. and I did teach a friend to grow like me but it was years ago.. so only half truths I guess. Figured most knew I was bullshitting anyway lol. Sorry if that offends anyone. I was wondering when someone was going to call me out on it lol

Dude I thought it was a strange ish situation but it was half believeable and not my business plus I respect ya wasnt gonna question.. I guess that was a year ago.. Damn I been gone a while just actually seen the date last I was last here.. I was gone cuz some fucking prick I thought was an ok cat started poppin off about some sketchy shit and I knew shit was like 90 / 10 fine but that ten percent I couldnt risk I love my bby boy. Its been a long while nothing came of shit.. So I'm getting back on the horse. Its good to see ya tho buddy. I tossed or lost most of my genetics but I'll be having some my co porno soon enough I'm sure

It's alive, got myc on 3/4 plates. Swab is germing too...does that make anyone mad, stabbing a plate with a swab?

Them fresh PE spores germinated on agar within a few days! I made my agar without excess moisture and then just flicked the swab head once above the agar and re-dipped in the new spore solution every second jar so I could "flick" again. Then I swished that all around, let sit, swished again and then colonized upside down.

Couple more pics of the agar jars swabbed with PE. One of the jars contains the swab-end. Love the explosive germination after lightly flicking a drop of water into each jar.

Can't decide whether to wait and let colonize and then inject water...and then inoc popcorn...

Or add sterilized popcorn , let that col and inject water to make mycelium syringes.

 

Maybe i'll do both.

Tried these dual containers for germ, just rolled a q-tip. (can see where my hand was placed bacteria at 6:00)

Swab has lots to grab

So off to oats in a few days as well as barley-verm cakes.
