Looks like garum is not FFA although similar , garum is made with salt and not at a 1:1 ration. Sugar is what FFA is made with.I should research this garum. How is it made? I have been very busy lately, sorry this communicae has taken a week to receive a response..Imagine an ancient gourmet product under a modern terminology: FAA=GARUM.Garum was a fermented fish sauce used as a condiment in the cuisines of Phoenicia, ancient Greece, Rome, Carthage and later Byzantium.Although garum enjoyed its greatest popularity in the Western Mediterranean and the Roman world, it was earlier introduced by the Greeks.Fish Amino Acids. Fermented organic fish fertilizer. Pretty much 50/50 brown sugar to chopped fresh fish fermented for 3 months then strained.
.Great project!I have procured a Lions mane LC to try growing, so your info is precious.
