2nd flush, not worth my time. Also the one cap got super wet so is bacterial/white (?).

Almost a dozen more staggered bags finishing this round. All those cultures have been slanted/fridged again. 8801 is already happy and ready for g2g. Pioppino will be next I guess.

Nice job on those Kings, you could of even went a bit longer and let the lip roll up a bit more.  All good tho', they look healthy and happy.  I'm dropping some KO in the tent this weekend, enjoying the King Blues, but not the same as KO.  Similar and good, WAY better than regular Blues, but the KINGS still Rule the Manor.   :tongue:

Last batch, going to try shipping to a friend on other coast. Might wait for next flush to ship so they're more fresh.

Dried and powdered LM. Maybe add to shakes, coffee, use as breading?

Didn't expect the powder to come out white. Had tons of dried chillies in the grinder. 
Sampled a dry piece and 1/10, tastes like a cube...

Oh yeah you can throw it in Pancakes, sauces, whatever you want, it's very discreet tasting dehydrated in moderation.  Mix in with your ground beef (or Ground Turkey I like) I really enjoy Spaghetti with Mushrooms (of any kind... Although never tried LM in Spaghetti, doesn't sound appealing AT All).  

 

You worked it out with those KO's my friend, SOLID fruits and you should be proud of yourself.  WELL, Done (Not the easiest to grow, but surely not the Toughest).  I just dropped two KO blocks in the Chamber myself (last night), I haven't ran KO Blocks in a while.... open style so I look forward to seeing the difference.  Again, SOLID work Sir.   :thumbs_up:

The powdered KO is not very noticeable mixed in with spices. Still haven't tried breading with it.

 

A singular shiitake popped invitro and was harvested. The block was sprayed down and placed in the tent. Need to spray and open a few more blocks but been too busy.

Me too (busy), I've been just freerollin' what I have for a while and giving my work some gaps here and there.  Always working something in the background though... U know!  Looking for a nice Finale before I shut most of it down for the summer.  I'll be running some Warmer varieties edible wise, but nothing like my Winter grows.  I did get my Wine Cap LC started, and the grains are close.  OUTDOOR fun in the SUN.  At least I hope anyway.

LC and grain are now. Those are first wood bags. Going to try and cap this at 10 bags.
Also grabbed an ugly-ass Maitake from the grocery. Still trying to mentally prepare to maybe excise from a mm of tissue if that.

At least that maitake is nice and clean, looks cultivated....

 

Bags are such a cool way of growing mushrooms, I really enjoy using them....

Pretty sure those "semps" are just a cube cross I've been working on.

Cut up some kings and shiitakes. Soy sauce, garlic, ginger, basil, sesame oil, sambal oelek (fragrant chili paste), and a splash of rice wine vinegar to deglaze.

More shiitake blocks opened. Cooking a ton of wood for 3lbs of oyster spawn. Goal is to get a ton of sawdust for the beds.

 

Hit a milestone at home, not anything huge but got me thinking. 100 bags of my own and 100 bags with my buddy. That's 200 bags in a year. Over 300 lbs of wood and soy, and 600 lbs of manure.

2 years ago folding bags was a nightmare. Hydrating bags was hit or miss. Now I can fold bags multitude of ways and hydrate reliably after a test bag. 

 

Not trying to brag. Some reflection and growth on my end. I've given up too many hobbies over the years. 
Probably wait a few more years before I go big on a sterilizer of sorts. Need to make sure it's worth the investment.

Sounds like how many I went thru during Peak Shutdown (100... about half that this year... Not that I'm finished or Anything).  Leaning on a Hobby when you are at home is therapeutic.
