Yeah, she served me well! I sold her to some guys who were starting up a myco school in the area, they use it so everyone who attends a class gets a few starter jars.

Blue Meanie pins on a gallon of supplemented sterile sub inoculated with 1 pint of spawn.

Most of the Enigma is getting put in the tent today, the blocks look crazy good.

Built this bed on Tuesday. Had an extra 4.5x8.5 hydro tray and I figured, why not? It's ~120 gallons (around 900 lbs) of thermophilic compost, with 9 gallons of spawn.

Riddle me this. Why are you so cool?

I'll be curious to see how that big bed does, what strain in there the enigma? You gonna throw a tarp over it or what?

Definitely the autism lol, this has been my personal obsession since I was 16 years old.

It's AA+ (which is actually leucistic, not albino, and leucistic Amazonian. I'm gonna make a PVC hoop house with a tarp, the bed is sitting on pallets, so I will dump a 2 gallon bucket of water on the concrete 2x daily in addition to my centrifugal humidifier. IME, keeping a bit of water on concrete will maintain a 70% baseline humidity, which lowers demand for the centrifugal humidifier.

On to pictures

Yeti T1 looking mighty fine, pretty rhizos for an albino variety.

How many of us are non-aware that we are powered by autism. Me and my friends didn't figure it out till 16-20 years later and can finally openly joke about it.

I keep seeing this "Enigma" mushroom. Are we sure its not caused by a secondary contamination or result from being contaminated in the past? I had some KSSS that grew blobs and fins like brain coral but was from a verticillium infection.

Enigma is either an isolate or multiple "substrains" (i guess), duking it out causing a malformed fruit.

I doubt people are readily able to clone and transfer diseased tissue and keep those traits going.

Boy did I misread the tittle, I was expecting to see some kind of enigmatic strain growing on a log!

Quite the setup you got going there, nice process documenting.

I may have to do some further investigation. This is what I get for being a casual observer I miss out on the new shit lol. Time to do some new and interesting stuff.

Damn that's really cool tractor.

How long after spawning are tubs usually harvested?

My buddy's tub took about 5 weeks from inoculation to harvest. Second flush takes about 10 days to start coming in, and another 2 weeks to mature, so total life cycle is about 60 days.

I'm going to try growing them invitro, maybe cut an X in the bags to stuff with poly. They also yield best in tubs when spawned at a 1:1 ratio. Growing well at that nutrient concentration makes me think they will do well in my sterile supplemented bag recipe, which has 1.4-1.6% N and about 80% cellulose.

How about doing it in a 5 gallon bucket like an oyster mushroom grow to see if it will fruit through the holes in the bucket.

That Sterilizer Tho'... and I've been wanting to do some Cube Blocks like you do for awhile now since I'm used to making Edible/Medicinal Blocks in Unicorn Bags already.  Your work is Remarkable and MUSH appreciated.
