Hash what to do

Hey guys I made some ice water hash with some outdoor I grew. Let me know what you think I would get if I pressed if!?!? I was thinking of getting a press rosin mini 6 ton and making Rosin. But I wish to get a good color. I know I can get grind it and get a lighter color. This is it dried 1-2 days.or should I just smoke it? Or edibles??? I’ve been really into edibles since I don’t have to smoke. It’s really easy to take. Eat. lol. Thanks guys! Just hoping you guys who do hash know what kind quailty. I did 1 wash 25-150 micro and rolled it in a ball. So like 4 balls. Eaxh separate wash.

Just make sure it is allowed to dry before you seal it, hash can mold. Depending on you, it should be smokable as is, if you want to go to the effort and expense, you could press it. There is a rig you can set up with a straightening iron and some C clamps that would allow smaller scale resin production. Edibles are always a great option and much healthier for you. I make CO2 hash for that and store it in a jar in the freezer. I decarb what I need for each recipe at 225F for 45min.

When making hash I use the fine micron screen "napkin" (pressing screen) provided with my bubble bags.

 

Put the wet concentrate into the center of the napkin screen - all in one lump (like a finger). I use Bondo spreader tools for this procedure.

Fold the screen over in half. Try not to "handle" the material as you want it to stay ice-cold. The heat from your hands will warm things up and make a mess.

Press and roll the napkin screen in a fluffy towel. Roll it tight and the water is pressed out.

Now here's the trick:

Don't try to handle the hash yet. Instead, put the napkin screen in the freezer and let the finger of goo get solid. This allows separation of the hash from the screen with the least amount of mess and left-over residue.

 

I'll leave the hash in the freezer overnight to help force out any water.

Take the hash out of the freezer and lay it out on a counter overnight (or in a container with dessicant if you live in a high-humidity area). As pointed out - your hash will mold if you don't get it dry. You can also store your hash in the freezer which is my favorite method.

 

No need to do anything further.

I use a chef's micro-plane to shave the hash into dust for laying-out on joints.

Or you can just pinch off a chunk and enjoy the pure hash experience.

Judging by the reflection on the surface, this looks like some pretty melty hash. Just smoke this as it is, the rosin will be brown. You need to cold dry, and fast, if you wanna make rosin.

Got you. so for me to get those colors that bright when they come out the wash I needa keep them super cold the whole time. So I will do the freezer napkin method! Thank you guys! How much hash would you recommend too to mix for edibles?

I usually like my edibles to be 150mg a piece, so 300mg of raw hash per treat assuming a 50% potency.

Well after it dried up I cut the balls of hash into chunks to dry really well. And after a few days I just grinded up the hash inside the wax paper. Like a joint kinda lol. It really lightened up the color of the hash and the hash has been curing. Past days have been getting danker and danker more reeek and smell. Forgot fresh frozen needs to cure the smell. I’m pretty happy the color! I know I can get some way better too with more work.
You’ll see the chunks hash before and after the color. I was Amazed
And cool so yeah ima guess my hash less grade like 150 and up will be 40% or less Thc and other will be 40-60% Thc.
I’m gunna make them quietttt strong like yours!!!im gunna make little chews gummies or hard suckers little bite ones you know decent mouth full. I just ordered some hard candy flavor pack blueberry and mango and strawberry so my gummies won’t have the lag jello taste lol. Hate jello and that flavor I made blue jello and yellow and red. All jello lolololol. Rock on!!

I always wondered if you could just house it in the top chamber of a damp rid container on a custom cardboard holder. Then let it sit in the freezer for a few weeks to essentially "freeze dry" it.. Seems cheaper than getting a freeze dryer. Anyone try it? You could open air freeze dry it in an empty freezer too! Finally, my last invention would be to use a custom Ball glass chamber with a bottom layer of damprid. Then use a vaccum pump from a vaccum sealer machine to the ball jar lid, and bam presto, you have a vaccum chamber freeze dryer...
