The second flush was not very large.Long as serpent-devils! There are almost no overlays after the hydration of the cake. We'll get to the third flush.

These were just harvested this evening. The sub was a shoebox that was covered with spores so i didnt expect much. I wedged it in a 1 gal zip top bag, poked pin holes in it and placed it outside under a double layer of shade cloth. I was surprised to see it get covered in pins. I ripped the bag open and put it, bag and all, into a shoebox dub. The dub went back under the shade cloth, outside. Mother Nature did the rest.
Fatties! Different conditions-different bodies, just like people.

On Friday I received a beautifully dark print of these beauties (Thanks Yoshi!), I have many projects on the go right now so I was going to hold off for a bit... That didn't happen. I started 3 agar plates a few hours ago. I'm excited about this!

I'm in a romantic mood today...baby mushrooms are again pleasing! The mycelium Psilocybe Natalensis grows in the forest, collects moisture and creates its own microclimate around the sprouted mushrooms.A magical symbiosis...

Nice pics Angam.
My germ plates are ready for transfers, and im thinking of starting a grain jar or two from the MS plate after.
Once the spores got started the mycelium really took off across the agar. I started some PE at the same time and the Natalensis has had 3x the growth.
Oh, yes, this mycelium is crazy!

Great thread peeps! Excited to grow and experience this species for myself. A study here on this mushroom reporting that extracts from it have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, aside from its psychedelic properties.
