Those look stunning Angam! They have such a different appearance compared to your indoor grow. Mother Nature once again making it look easy. Good luck with your harvest!

I've found indoor fruits to look more like that if grown with higher levels of air exchange. This species seems more sensitive to FAE than cubensis in terms of how the fruits look...

It's time to collect mushrooms... We draw conclusions - they need a lot of fresh air during fruiting. Hats are huge compared to home ones.

Getting close...... Shoeboxes are colonized and looking pretty good.

Think I'm gonna run an air pump line into each container to try and provide constant fresh air .

What an interesting mushie NAT is and the way that mycelium looks is WYLD.  I may have to grab this one(one day) when I get through some other genetics.  Beautiful tho', wonderful pictures you guys.

A bunch of little pins in the Natalensis.

In my brain (and mouth) that was sung as a cheesy radio jingle

Oh yeah, that moment you get PINS is always a relief no matter how many times you have repeated the process.  Plenty of knotting up and moisture, looks good from here Oldpunk.

However. At the edge of one shoebox it almost looks bruised under the air pump line. At first I was scared it was some contamination. But it really looks like bruised thick overlay. The air line may have been pointed down right there. I unplugged the pump for now and am trying to decide if I want to stick with it....maybe just make sure it's not pointed down at the sub? Or maybe just try to fan more frequently. But I been wicked busy lately and I'm not around to fan often.
So note to self. They don't like air line pointed at the sub.

Lots of air good. Direct air flow bad.

The day has finally arrived. Mine opened up and started dropping spores at about 4" tall. I was expecting taller stems. But they filled the shoeboxes nicely.

I love a GREAT shoebox grow, one of the easiest styles for growing... also testing different varieties, clones, AGAR isolation.  Nice Job Oldpunk.

Nicely done Old Punk! It is interesting to see the differences in appearance between each person's grow. Please let us know how any "testing" goes!

I'm having trouble seeing any difference between cubes. Outdoors they appear to be cubes from Anagams. But Punks shows off no annulus!
Guess the stipes are a bit more slender??

I think the main difference is on the scientific level but people's trip reports also seem different.

-Alan Rockefeller
"I got a dna sequence for it - it is 7 nucleotides different from cubensis. So it is it's own species, but closer to cubes than anything else."

After growing them, they seem behave a little differently too. Give them a try!

Yes. I shall. I'm really excited to try them. Gonna go 3g and see how it compares to my strongest grow gram for gram. Soaked one tray for another flush. Gonna bury the second one outside.
