So.... Wow.

I tried out the Natalensis last weekend. 3.18g and holy shit. It was extremely intense and strange. The visuals were more of a light show quality than the normal crawling swirling. Almost like everything was lit by moving neon light. I had a movie playing in the background and it seemed like a different language. Words didn't even make sense. Very strange spacial distortions in sound and seemingly time. Almost like time waves where everything slowed down and then sped up faster than normal. It was awesome and amazing.....but then it wasn't.

Unfortunately I had not been feeling well after work, and i decided to try them anyway since I don't get many nights to myself. After an hour and a half of amazement I remembered how poorly I felt and I got stuck in that loop of anxiety and "I shouldn't have done these today" and the anxiety built and built and I just couldn't calm down. The rest of the night sucked.

I've been pretty reserved and humbled all week. And it might be a while before I feel the urge again.

That's quite interesting, I understand the feeling of getting sucked into that mindset of questioning if it was really the right time and it's a real mood killer for sure. If you don't mind my asking what was your method of ingestion?

It seems that the Natal family decided not to give up on the evil of the hot weather and again pleased with strong fruits!

Nice Angam!!!

Mine got a tomato graveyard and aren't quite as happy. But it's been REALLY hot n dry here. Still pushing up more than most other subs in the graveyard. This is the 2nd flush to come up in the garden.

Mine are still shooting up clusters in the garden. I don't pick half of them....they just keep coming though. My outside ones are staying really short, but fatter than indoors. Wonder if I buried the sub too deep?

Spaghetti doesn't grow anymore.

Now a straight and strong mushroom comes out.The temperature at fruiting is 20-22 degrees Celsius.

This is great to know, wonderful work Angam!

I got some natalensis that seemed to fuse back together when I put a few transfers onto a single plate, so I injected some LC solution into the condiment cup they were in, used the syringe tip to scrape/tear up the mycelium to suspend it in the LC before sucking it back up and shooting it into the LC jar. Just waiting for that to colonize more and I'll be rolling right along as well.. My first non-cube.. very exciting

Going to be putting Nat LC to BRF cakes today. When it comes to spawning these cakes to bulk substrate, once the substrate is fully colonized do I need to case them or will they fruit right off the surface of the substrate like cubes?

I'm also noting based on the posts here by Newmoon and Angam that they enjoy high/consistent FAE, and slightly lower than usual fruiting temps.

I don't think you need to case them? Some previous bag grows, I don't think I cased them? Some of the shoe boxes, I did case and the Natal completely consumed it and laughed.

I'm about a week behind you and plan to run some more bags.

Yes on more FAE and slightly cooler temps.

Wonderful, thank you YT!

It also seems that you were on the right track with the lower temps for the larger caps in the original post.

The excitement is real!

Ha! It is exciting stuff Salty. It'll be interesting to see that run on cakes. The mycellium this one grows is wild.

I wonder what made the fruit body change so much for angam. ?

It seems that extra FAE and lower fruiting temps contributed to more normal looking fruits.

the furnace in our home puts out nice warm air... but it doesn't exactly make it up to the second floor for whatever reason. I have a space heater in my "mush room" on low that seems to keep it at around 70 degrees which seems to be right in the temp range that these guys like. I 'nocced up some of my BRF 1/2 pint jars last night but it was pretty late and I just couldn't keep going to do the rest. My plan is to spawn them to bulk substrate
