In the first reply to coorsmikey's "I Am a New Member" thread, they say:
New members are automatically sent a “validation” email when you create an account here at Mycotopia. If you try and bypass the one thing that verifies that youre a real person and not a bot by making up an email, your account will never be validated.
I was expecting an email like this today, and was bummed because I never received one. I'm using ProtonMail, which is a service I'm not very familiar with. But I looked in the Spam folder and Trash folder and there's nothing there. But now I'm able to post - so I'm not sure if I've got everything sorted or not.
PS everyone - it is difficult to find reliable email services that don't require a phone number for SMS verification these days. ProtonMail seems like a cool project centered around privacy. But I'm a bit afraid I've missed a message - so the jury is still out.
