I post often but rarely make threads. The va sent me a text for me to go get my covid shot.
Did other vets get this notification? And if you did what do you think about the vaccine?
I have been vaccinated for smallpox, polio, and stage 2 anthrax including boosters. Due to my service in shitty places.
I'm wondering if other vets got this notification and what you think about it.
Let me reread this and make sure im placed well for what I aim to say. Yup even tho shine time I pretty much asked what I mean to ask. They sending us notifications here. I'm not lining up for the shot. But its wild to get a text like that while ur placing a ring or two after a 450cc bore kit. I got that text for the shot at work today.

I didn't answer here because I'm not a vet, but I have received both my shots now (I got Pfizer).   I did get sick (chills, achy bones, really tiered) for about 2days after each shot, and mostly slept during that time, but other then that there have been no side affects that I have noticed.  They say I've got two weeks to wait now, to develop full immunity from the second shot.

 

I look forward to a world where I can travel if I want to, and don't have to wear a mask every damn place I go.   I want to be able to eat in a restaurant again.   If 4 days of being sick in bed is the only price I have to pay for that, I'm willing to do it twice.

My parents got the shot and had the same symptoms juthro. Its super common apparently. I'd get my shot but I've already cleared covid with asymptomatic symptoms apparently.
I am not a conspiracy theorists in regard to the vaccine. However I wonder if it could cause fertility problems for would be mothers. Its just so new hard to know.
If I were over 50 and not naturally resistant to the virus I would absolutely get the vaccine.
