The fresh air and the real sun is what I figure....my oysters will sometimes express themselves very differently between indoor and outdoor grown for certain...

These are blue p. ostreatus.

Insufficient light and Oxygen?. Looks like that started to grow and revegetated, then formed new primordia atop the existing stems.

Wonderful looking LM fruits, one of my favorites along with King Oysters.  I have a ton of LM and Coralloides dehydrated to add to anything while I'm not growing and just reaping the rewards of the medicine.  Good stuff and or VIBES!

I'm noticing that top seals for Presto canners (23qt) don't last very long. I think I'm forgetting to do something, but they seem to get stretched/compressed (or something) and are increasingly difficult to get to seal.

How does everyone get theirs to last, or is lasting 6 months or so just 'normal'? And can you use any other (ie non presto) seals?

Thanks in advance :-)

Is using rice grain the same (time hydrating, etc) as wheat or rye grain?

I'm going to try producing lions mane mycellium. (And the fruits of course)

I have a 17 quart Presto (bobber only) and I haven't changed any parts on it from purchase almost a decade ago or so. The only issue I ever had with it years ago was not cleaning the seal area well (which was my fault) and it dripped during a cycle slightly, but still did the job fine with no issues. Other than that, I just dial down the heat to a nice quiet back and forth (rhythm)sound. If it's the steamer is loud it's to high of heat. My 2 pennies.

Not the same process I don't believe, but I am an Oats guy and reformed WBS User.

I've had luck 1.5lbs brown rice + .5lbs pearled barley (or 2lbs brown rice) plus 500ml water in a bag. Works for Lion's Mane, Semperviva, Turkey Tail and Cordyceps Militaris so far. Good luck!

The only things that should (hopefully) turn orange: Cordyceps Militaris deli containers, just put in FC.
