.

It was an accident...

Somebody left the fridge door slightly opened.

So my 15 lit Pleurotus bag touched the hot fridge light and after some hours burned the spawn and heated 1/3 of the whole volume. Possible mycelia death.

Heat was extended up to where I left the blue marker.

I have bathed this 1/3 bag area in bleach rich solution and put it inside a new bag in the fridge.

Questions

1. Can I use the dead portion as mush food along with 10% proper surviving spawn in straw bags?

2. Is there any other recovery method?

Oyster is a pretty tough and an aggressive species, if that were mine I wouldn't waste too much of it but I would spawn it very soon. It looks like the spawn run was completed.

I'd put it to a substrate very soon......

As a side note.......I'd be checking the food in that fridge...
