Wanting to know the differences between coir alone and adding verm.

Yields? Less need for misting? I'm probably going to be doing 1 flush and then putting new tubs in straight after so not sure how important it'll be unless yield is marginally better.

It's hard to get coir hydrated without overhydrating it, so the added verm is more of a convenience thing IMO.

From my experience, coir needs something to make it a little more airy.  I never really experimented with pure coir, but was always super happy with the coir/verm results.

Coir with verm is going to work better. Straight coir seems to dry faster and compact more on it’s own. Verm holds a lot of water and is very useful for texture when you get something too wet. It’s the last thing I add when I’m building subs because it makes it easy to fluff up a heavy sub. IMHO anyway.

The verm provides space for the mycelia strands to grow more easily if im not mistaken?

Here is the quote I'm referencing "But when grown with vermiculite, the mycelial threads stretch across space. "
