Hey guys! I'm so so so excited. Today I found my first pins, they're all over!

So anyways I placed it in my tube with about 1 inch of water at the bottom. My previous idea was to place really damp coir but I decided to keep it simple. Is this set up ok?

Also, I wanted to know if I should also move this to the fruiting chamber or wait to see pins like the other one:

The problem is that the first tray and the second are different strains, and I'd like to make some prints, so idk if I should place wall in between.

Congrats ! Like your handle and pic too .

I don’t have experience with a chamber like that and I’m not sure I understand what’s what .

Is the water chamber your fruiting chamber ?

What are you doing for FAE(fresh air exchange) ?

They look healthy and well colonized so should be ready to fruit .

Yes, that's my fruiting chamber, it's just a tub with water at the bottom. I'm gonna be placing trays instead of making a cake floor. For FAE I'm gonna be opening the lid once or twice a day and misting from time to time.

And great I'm gonna move the other to fruiting too then!

I used to fruit where I lifted the lid and misted then fanned but i did it three times a day .

Keep documenting your progress and we can see how it plays out .

This will work for cubes and species that don't need tons of fresh air or evaporation.  It's also an easy design to automate with an aquarium bubbler, bubble stones or a computer fan and a drill.  I have an automated setup like this for growing semperviva.  My automated setup uses a lot of water and the water level makes a difference how humid the whole thing is.

Mist and fan.  It will lose more water than if you used perlite but it will also probably be higher humidity and less mess.

So this is two days after moving to fruiting chamber. I don't know if it's going slow or normal, to me it seems slow but I have no experience so idk. The mushie on the far back has grown a bit and one on the front has grown much more.

The other cake has no signs of pins.

It’s knotting everywhere. Give it a few days and I bet it’s covered in pins.

Increase your fanning/FAE just slightly and keep the rest of the conditions exactly the same......don't open it too much either ( I know it's cool)

Looking good with slight fuzzy feet, super high humidity but just about perfect......don't do anything drastic at all....... they're loving that....

I even use a version of water tub outside for hydration/humidity when fruiting oysters blocks.....it works well....

Ok I've got news. Today I woke up with the fat one on the back's veil open, so I harvested that one (I first cut the head to make prints) and the other fattie because it was about to open veil.

the problem is I don't have a fan or dehydrator to dry them. What should I do?

By the way any clue on why they are small and chubby? They're Cambodian

I use a radiator type space heater in my grow space and place a metal screen on top. If I've only got a couple shrooms to pick I just sat them on the screen above the radiator and they dried up in about a day.
As far as shorthand chubby.....???? Were you misting the pans at all? I've never tried a water tub so not really sure If it's still necessary.

I don't know if this was the best idea but I don't have a screen so I poked a bunch of holes on an aluminum tray and placed it over a heater. They're drying quite nice but I'd like to know if this will destroy the psilocybin

Only if it gets really hot I'm told. Like 300deg or something. I asked the same questions a while back.

You could put some kinda spacer to lift it up a bit. Even a 1 inch space would drop the surface temp of that tin foil a lot.

Excellent creative solution by the way

Well, this is how my day ended:

20210429_222312.jpg

There are a bunch of poor horrible deformities that had no space to grow:

20210429_220613.jpg

and these pretty privileged ones:

20210429_222008.jpg

I suppose it's not bad for my first grow ever?

Thank you all for the help :)
