Made a couple 1:2 CV tamp 1 gallon ziplock bags (along with a 16qt tub). Poked needle holes every couple inches (my standard operating procedure with ziplocks for FAE). The idea is these are primarily for stone production.. I figure I can unroll the taped zipper end if I need more slack in the bag.. hopefully because I’m going to get massive stonage lol

Based on how the baggie is doing, I may see some fruit bodies as well. Here’s the baggie today.. a nice stone is forming as well as the pins

I’ve got a bunch of cube sandwich baggies in various stages as well so expect pics of those soon

I also revived this culture from dried out grain and plan to put it (1 qt) to another ziplock block… should be ready to shake in the next couple days

I’ve got pins in the PE/RW baggie!

Another nice reason to fruit out the glc donor grains is it’ll give me an expected timeframe for pins on the tub.. 12 days from spawn is what I’m looking at for the 16qt tub

I went ahead and made it happen...  I hope I have enough sewing needle holes, 11 per row and two rows that go all the way through both sides(44 holes total).  Should be enough for colonization, fruiting, I'm not convinced it's enough and may need to add more.  Appreciate you @Fahtster... you're a spectacular cultivator and it's a pleasure trying something new and getting out of my comfort zone.  I have Unicorn experience with Edibles, but never a Gallon Zip grow.  Just know that you get people excited for this hobby with all the wild projects you do and fuel the fires of desire to make it happen(Captain).  One Luv Fungus Fanatic.

Thanks for the kind words!

Looking good.. that should be good for holes.. at least for colonizing. They’ll let you know if you need to dial it in more

PE/RW baggies are looking good.. looking forward to the tub

Tamps baggie is doing it’s thing.. pretty neat growing another species besides cubes

The 1 gallon tamps bags are fully colonized (this pics a day old) and should be starting some stones/pins soon.. I might end up cutting an “X” in the top of the bags and putting the bags in a 16qt tub with some water in the bottom and let the fruits push their way up through the “x”.. probably case one of them and leave the other without a casing to see if the cut bag will act as a pseudo casing

I'm interested in seeing if you get a few stones in the Coco bags(I see some yellowing, could be the beginning of Stones) you are fruiting. In my experience or findings, the Manure/Straw/Verm Combo popped the most stones and FAST. The Manure/Verm trays gave up a few stones, but took MUCH longer to develop. All for the Science. Lookin' FANtastic Sir.

P.S I hear Rye Berries are best for Stones, I'll be finding out this Fall/Winter(Stone Only Jars).  I've always wanted a crack at Rye just for the sake of experience and something different(and do a Rye Vs Oat Run... Why Not).

I thought rye grass seed or millet/milo, the smaller grains would increase stone production.

Rye seems to have the highest yields from my Research, WBS and RGS are lower on the list.  I don't work with WBS anymore, and I figured I don't want RGS simply being a One dimensional seed(would only use for stones or maybe my lawn).  Rye Berries, I can do EVERYTHING with.  I've never seen Stones on Oats so I'm not sure... probably low yields as well(or NOTHING who knows).  I'll end up answering my own question when I get a chance, I'll have to do at least ONE stone only Oat jar simply... for Science.

The PE/RW are growing beyond the bag opening so I just put another bag over the top of the first one and boom goes the dynamite

getting knotty in here. Not sure if it's a bad idea to have baccy in same "FC". I don't care either way.

I'd wager I'm gonna have some side pins at that first patch. Unless they are deep in substrate. Not my cleanest work a bit defeated here.

Hey man.. myc does weird shit, especially PE myc.. there’s a good chance it’ll turn out fine.

Here’s my compressed top layer attempt.. just starting in on the layer (eventually this’ll go in a ziplock lol)
