Well ya'll, it's a BUST on the PANS, it's freakin' TAMPS again.  This dude(my old source) and his horrific organizational skills and Red IT Genetics.  I won't go into detail... but I am a great detective when I want to be and UHH... yeah I linked an account to him under a year old copying what those fools are doing pretty much verbatim.  I have one more "PAN TX" from him and don't expect this to be any different.  I was on an APE/PE(Ape worked out) quest and PANS, doesn't look promising for the latter(Tamps again I'm Sure).  Oh well, I'll have to figure

out another way... JUST not today.

I threw all my tubs in the Martha, why not, it's a wonderful environment and lets see what they can do.  I don't normally grow Cubes in the Martha, but I have before and the Pinsets are usually really Nice, but have to watch them and make sure no pooling.  I'm dialed in currently so that shouldn't be an issue.  I switch my mind... ALL the time... so MARTHA Cubes(and Tamps) here we come.

I did get 10 syringes(3 free ones) from him on a Super Sale so it's just time to go through them all and Be done with it.  I think I'm going to cook up some Oats and get it Rockin'  I'm a MOVE forward person So... IT is what it IS.  You can dwell on it, or make it happen and move on to something else.  Easy decision.

Happy Friday Folks... Finally some cleaner Air and a break from the Heat Wave.  57 this morning and FEELS Amazing.  I'm over the Heat, HELLO Fall Weather.

Big Update here, so everything is in the Martha at this point and has been for at least a week, the newest trays about 2 weeks.  I don't know if it's the Straw/Manure combo, or what, but these new trays

look more Potent than the first round of Tamps. It also looks like maybe some Stones are protruding through the casing in a few spots(they look to be pretty good size already).  These newer fruits are blueish

green towards the base... and are tall and Big.  I think they like Mrs. Martha.

The Original Tamp trays are still going, but slowing from 4 straight flushes(more like Waves) and a 3rd from the small tub.  The big tray looks to be popping out a stone or two as well beneath the casing and breaking through the surface.

Non Straw tray

The APE tub which is now just the substrate with some saran wrap on the bottom, is enjoying the more AIR friendly environment, these PE crosses and such just love the AIR.  Cubes love AIR just like any other mushroom,

just more forgiving to Neglect(not so much with Exotic Cubes).

The Pearly Gates tubs are doing excellent, the Pinset on the Faster Tub is a joke... but I left town for almost 5 days with no management whatsoever and I threw both tubs in the Modified old Mono to make sure they don't dry out while I was gone.  All good, future flushes will probably kill it in the tent.  PE sometimes sucks first flush too, could be it as well, I wanted to try these without a casing, but I prefer casing with PE or PE hybrids.

Indeed....it is well worth any aspiring growers time to learn this. Whatever grain you decide upon figure out how to get them hydrated and NOT wet.....

I've gone so far as to spread them out on shop rags or newspaper and done just that......cooled and dried before loading jars/bags for the sterilization run.....

Great point!

Just Another Tuesday... haven't updated in awhile, been busy with life and still just harvesting mushrooms every few days.

I finally discarded the APE tray, the 4th flush produced small fruits around 2.5 inches tall and just fizzled out in the Martha.  The fruits

were soft and squishy so it's GOOD BYE for now.  Guessing 7-10g from 4th.  Not that it matters, I have MUSH more than I could ever

need at this point.  I just love growing really, I could dump everything I have and do it all over again simply... For the THRILL.

The 4 Tamp trays are still kickin' out fruits, smaller Waves, but Continuous Non the Less.  It seems like the Current Straw/Tamp trays kick out stones, QUICKLY compared to the Manure/Verm Subs.  Smaller stones forming in Manure/Verm trays and have almost 5 flushes and the new trays are first flush and Stones CRASHIN' through the Casing.  They are fairly Big already.  I'll treat it like Gambling since I pretty much Am on a strain I knew very little about... Let it Ride!

The Pearly Gates Tub just blew my Mind, HORRIFIC Pinset, just Ugly and in a Martha that's just not usually the case.  That being Said, it Kicked out an almost 20g cluster and 24.4 total.  These Choads, are some DENSE fruits, the Biggest 7g on the nose, and the other Big One 5.4.  The Five Big fruits totalled almost 20 and the smaller fruits Account for the Rest.  I also cased both Trays, this Strain had perfect Surface Conditions and Plenty of FAE in the tent So... Casing for 2nd flush, and Casing for the later Gates Tub for First Flush.  The Second tub had perfect Moisture(Nice beads and NO water built up on the tub)... Everything... and still Spit out some Small Dinosaur Eggs and I Already had a Jar of Casing... DONE!

My newest jars of Spawn are doing well, One of the jars is doing Nothing, typical for PE or PE Crosses.  I usually lose one here and there(Randomly), but I expect it with these Exotics.  It's the reason I do 2 at a Time, especially when it's unconfirmed and NOT My Work.

I Also cleaned up the Wet Spot(from Oat Seed) from another TAT variation... One transfer and Clean... I'll throw it on Another Plate just because... But it looks like a Solid Culture.  If it were One jar with Wet Spot and the Other Clean... I may just Blame myself, but 2 Jars same contamination and Confirmed on AGAR.  YEAH... pretty Easy to see where this Originated from.  Now that I have a Clean specimen... I don't Care about the Original Syringe.  I need to do some Agar work, but it's been HOT and I've been too Busy.  I need to get my Maitake and Shiitake Blocks going since they take Forever(Colonize OR Fruit).

What's good fellow fungus fanatics... Both TAT/Melmac trays have some Nice pins popping through the fresh casing and look healthy.  I'm running the Humidity right now at 92.5 and kicks off, rises to around 94.5(94.8 is the highest I've seen) and starts to dip back down and do it all over again.  92% in this heat wasn't hydrating the casing like I want it to and 93 was a bit too much moisture for fruiting so in the Middle we Go.  Otherwise, it just does what it DO.

Both Tamp Variations are going Crazy, I can't stop picking these little suckers Man.  They get tall in the tent, Some of them real close or right at 4 inches.  The Rolling "Stones" crashing my Casing Party.  Lovin' IT!!

My last attempt at a PAN run and both jars are colonizing quickly, but Tamps colonize fast as well so that isn't saying much at this point.  All healthy jars though, no contaminations or anything thus far.  HIGH hopes for a few of these,

one of them is suppose to be Albino Roller Coaster, but WE shall see.  I did clean up that other TAT variation so I need to get that one on OATS.  I may save that one for last, WHO knows...

Quick Update today... Mainly Pictures.

Harvested a few more fruits of the newer different Tamp variation(more brown colored Caps rather than reddish with white spots like the first trays).

The Albino Tubs are starting to catch fire after the Casing, these fruits get BIG and FAT Pins nearly immediately and Smash through the Casing with a Purpose.  Luvin' This

TAT Albino or whatever it is.  I have Yeti on Oats currently, I think this is the Real Deal P Gates.  All the different variations, Caps look like PE Uncut at times, or APE looking Caps.

Fun Variety NO Doubt.

Happy Friday All... finally killed off the original Tamp trays, I must of hit at least 6 flushes or waves or More, around 5-6 with the smaller tray.  I did find one stone in the smaller tray, and 3 decent size stones in the Big tray.  I also grabbed the stones that were popping up in the other trays.  A total of 16.4g of Stones.  I'm thinking about splitting it for an 8.2 test run since I have no experience with these.  I put the other new different variation trays back in the Martha, they are only on maybe 2 flushes or so.

Whaddup Ya'll, I've been neglectful of my Journal and I apologize for the brief interruption of service.

Let's get to It, so I killed off the Tamp trays and dug out all the stones, I have almost 20g of stones in the fridge.  I could of ran them longer or further, but I have over an Oz of fruits, and 2(ish) doses of Stones so I'm good.  Plus, I'm almost already Positive my new "Pan" trays are Tamps again, like 95% sure already, just has the look and the smell like shroomy flourish dough or something.  I'm pretty sure the PAN train is over for me until I can figure out something else or it's just not in the cards at this time.  All good, they always say.. Where there is a Will... THERE Is a Way!  That being said, I've never taken stones or Tamp fruits, so I'll focus on what I do have and NOT what I Don't. RIP Tamps... SEE You Soon!

Harvested up the 2nd tray of TAT/Melmac(Almost 40g), these suckers just have all different kinds of variation, loving the PE influence NO doubt.  The first TAT/Melmac tray is popping out a few fruits here and there(Big Ones), but not much.  These are only single myco quart jars worth, I prefer to do 2 jars, but I'm just logging and testing and seeing what I have.  I need to try to do a few swabs, but I'm not at that point yet.  Purely Playin' for Fun and it's on AGAR and LC(Chillin').

I have one more jar of Oats colonized of the "PAN" which is surely another Tamp almost guaranteed, and I shook up all the PE jars to finish them off in a few days.  Once I take a break from growing Actives, I'll do some AGAR work(down time and edibles) to look for some faster growth and put in some work on these PE's.  I could tell immediately that the APE culture I have has been worked for sure, was very easy to isolate on Agar first transfer.  The Pearly Gates... NOT so much... It's definitely more of an MS LC.  Not that I care really at this stage, Cool looking fruits is FINE with me.  Alright folks... That's ALL.  Enjoy the Show!

Happy Friday Folks... not much to report, the P Gates tubs are in transition phase recovering from fruiting.  All the new jars are solid looking thus far.  One of the "Trinity" jars will be done within a day or so along with the "Albino Roller Coaster".  These Cube syringes have been good to me, but the PANs... NOT so much(clearly didn't make sure he had Copes).  Speaking of Pans, NOT like I would know at this point () I may have solved that problem, Stay Tuned... I have high hopes, but not getting my hopes UP(Excited... But Guarded).

The new trays have been going for 4-5 days and will be ready soon.  Another Tamp fest surely, BUT I need some grass seed anyway, might just do a Stone only grow, I have plenty of extra jars(enough for 3 rounds of 7).  I might just throw a few jars down this Fall or Winter.

I also just spawned the 2nd jar of the same above trays, higher spawn rate so will be faster to finish than the first trays.  All good, patience is a virtue in this Game.  Have a Great Weekend All.

I went ahead and spawned the Trinity and ARC, everything looked great and fully colonized and blew up the area with shroom smell so All Good.  Went Old School CV this Round, Memories of a CVG Mono  (I didn't add any gypsum, I usually do, but isn't a deal breaker).  The good news is, if there is contamination, which there isn't, but IF there is... I'll know within 2 days.. 3 Tops.

The P Gates tubs are showing some rumbly Casing, I should have some Pins popping up real Soon. The "Pan" trays that are probably Tamps(Again) are just about ready to Case and send to fruit.  Both trays are Manure/Straw/Verm/Gypsum.  The Verm is for fluff and water retention really, I like how the Sub feels with It added.  I also did the last jar yesterday 9.17.21 of two smaller trays so higher spawn rate and will be done within 5 days or so.  The bigger trays are 1 to 4 and tomorrow is a week.  They are fully colonized, just letting them complete any spots that aren't quite there yet.  I'll probably end up making some casing Monday and give them there last full day to fill in any sub gaps or spots.  I'll make enough casing for the upcoming smaller trays as well while I'm already doing a Pasteurization Run.  Good Vibes!   :meditate:

Woke up this morning to the P Gates tubs having a bit of water build up(bottom of sub), I just poured it off and put the trays on the next level down.  The second level gets hydrated well, it's definitely my hydration station if a tray gets too dry for my liking.  I also dropped the humidity down a point to 91.  These Boot Boxes aren't made for the Martha and can collect excess water here and there.  All good, I'm already aware of it and it's the only thing I monitor in the tent(surface conditions and moisture  build up).  I have NO build up on the racks or anything so these boxes are like catch cans grabbing Rain water.

Killed off the other Trinity jar, just didn't recover from a light shake, let it sit for a few days and it's just DONE.  Opened it up and smelled of freshly cooked Oats so no Contamination... Ahhhwell... it IS what it IS sometimes.

I was going to throw the ARC and Trinity in some Boxes... but I'm over IT(since growing in Tent Currently) and wanted a real attempt at doing some BAGs(Contaminated spawn DOESN'T Count).  Shout out to @Fahtster and his Bag thread and Sandbags as well.  I enjoy trying different ways of doing things and I had a few Gallon Zips already on hand so I went for it.  I've been primarily working with Manure, but in honor of the style, went SIMPLE.

P1110247.JPG

The new trays look great, I'll make some casing tomorrow and throw them in the Tent.  I haven't checked the smaller ones... I'm sure they are moving right along with the higher spawn rate.  Grow On Brothers and Sisters.
