Felt like I was hijacking someone's PE thread. So I figured I otter start my own.




Bunch of PE pins


And these are clones from a dark stumpy PE look alike in my supposed AA+ . If it was a clone I was expecting them to look like the donor. But these pins are still a mix of dark and light. Actually more light ones than before, but it's a clone from a darker cap...

Anyway. Thinkin bout tripping and doing some backyard camping this weekend. Its gonna be totally in tents.

What PE variety is this... they look like Homestead that I've grown, or maybe PE6.  Regardless, chunky fruits no doubt, the density of the stipes NEVER get Old.  Wonderful TUBs OldPunk.

Believe it's just "PE" if it's what I sent him. If I sent him that...(faht's PE?)

IME, PE are thirsty cuz they are huge, so bottom water. Once they start opening up (which they don't really), increase your FAE.

Heard. I actually peeled the plastic and gave them some water last night. It's been quite cap-tivating watching them form. Mush appreciate the swab Rocky.

I have experienced the same pretty much spot on with PE varieties, thirsty and AIR is your friend late into fruiting.  Easy to over mist thirsty varieties too(sensitive MUCH), We should all stop growing PE.... NOT!!

How clean was that swab? I don't mess with swabs much and the few straight from the package weren't sterile. These were sterilized before swiping in open air.

Haven't been too busy on the myco front. Too busy at life. But like a set of stairs im always leading up to something . Figure I otter try and share something. This is my first attempt at a 12 qt tub with a clone labelled Cambodian Big Fruit. The first few pins are living up to the label. Always nice to see the fruits of my labors.

And yeah, I tend to take long breaks in between projects too.  Now's the time to get it in, though, before spring and summer bring higher spore loads in the air and more contamination.

Nice big chubby pins there, the fruits of our labors indeed....late winter is the "dead" time here too...

These were up against the bag and I pulled the plastic away to let the plethora of side pins grow out.

Same pins. 2days later. They're growing on top of the smaller pins.

So.....last time I went to the doctor I had gained at least 20 lbs. I really try to be active and I work my ass off. (Or used to) so I've been trying to eat better and throw in a lot more veggies and hopefully some new mushrooms. Im down about 5 of those extra lbs but all these salads are starting to feel like a big missed steak....



But at least I got my first Mexicana A pins.

Nice Mexi Pin's Man, they look big and healthy from here.  Can't wait to see them finish up.  I have two trays I'm about to case tomorrow and send to the chamber soon. The rye stone jar is doing excellent, I'll fruit those when I pull the stones late Summer or so.  Good times and GOOD luck with them PINs.

Thanks. I've got a couple more jars getting close and I'm hoping they keep growing well. This is my second round of trays so hopefully I've found the conditions that work. (The first round was badly neglected)
