Just received a gift of a good portion of Cactus skin that had been blended nearly to a powder, looks like chunky kratom. Seems quite heavy, said to weigh about 150 grams or so.
I am not an extractor, and would prefer to make a tea, but it seems to me that somewhere on here I read where these turn very quickly into a thick mucousy mess. As I understand it the mucous part is mostly plant fats. My plan is to boil it for a couple hours in a large pot, set it in the fridge overnight and allow some separation to occur, then spoon off most of the mucousy plant fats, hopefully to leave a nice layer of alkaloid laden water that I can then reduce to a more palatable tea.
Any advice is appreciated. Not seen anything in here about making tea from skins, in particular blended ones. I would like to do this during the next week and plan on next Friday for one helluva ride. Considering doing both doses and bending over for the universe to have it's way with me lol. Made quite a bit of tea in my days, but usually from fresh wet cactus, not dried concentrated skins grinded into a powder.
As I said, all advice is appreciated. Any pointers?
