Early autumn is a most welcome time in the garden as flowers become more vibrant...
The first pic - Passion flower [incarnata] is a beautiful and complex Jewel that's hardy to zone 7...A single leaf can be steeped in water to make a sedative ,relaxing tea which tastes like peas....

Second pic - is a virtual scent bomb, Night blooming Jasmine..
This subtropical shrub is also very easy to grow ..These tiny flowers open at dusk and permeate the air with a very intoxicating and arousing perfume...The tubular part of the flower stores the next evenings release..

Last pic ...My garden path and the eternal mushroom...heh....

Of the many passion flowers the incarnata is most potent..I steeped about 4 leaves one time and was intoxicated for like 20 hours -not my kind of buzz
but a single leaf is just right when i need to chill...

The Flower is the easiest way..There is only one that looks like that pictured above ..to my knowledge..There are many other purple ones -Incarnata is much blue'r and 4-5 inch diameter and also defined by the squiggly end petals..They're available at many nurseries...

Ya..that's a different variety ..still purdy though...I don't believe you could classify Incarnata as toxic but u could easily take too much and feel groggy as hell...The fruits are edible too [ Known as Maypops] but have little "active"effect..This herb is prescribed for insomnia and nervous disorders..

Hey Sky...Even this herbal remedy is just a bandaid aproach to treating hyperactivity ..There are certain raw foods that can actually 'cure' many nervous anomalies or at least give much relief when included with your normal diet......
