So my Wine Cap grain Spawn is ready to go to bulk.
Should I just do the same thing I did with my oysters and hydrate/pasteurize some hard wood pellets in bags or should I look at adding some nutrients and sterilizing?

Grain->HWFP (hardwood fuel pellets/ hard wood)->woodchips in a bed
I've never supplemented it. I think it prefers being outside in a woody bed.

You'd be better off researching. If all things are right and let's say you do it in the spring. Or before it gets too cold (preferably a month or 2 before real freezes). Should be another 2 seasons or so. Spring to fall, or fall to spring. Believe they like colder temperatures.
I did a bed outside and overfed it. They won't fruit if they have food. So I'm waiting almost a year now.

I've not grown wine caps but bag #2 looks off compared to #1.

So i planted my wine caps in the garden today. Wrapped half of each bag in vinyle screen to keep the critters out. Added some hwfp and some shreded cardboard to the wrap and then filled the holes with hwfp and cardboard. Watered well and now have my fingers crossed.
