Yes they do and then they go away just as fast......the actual fruits are just a special case at the end of the cycle.....fungus sex.....

So my subs were all too dry and it was a pretty weak first flush. So I soaked them and new pins are popping. Hopefully we'll see a better 2nd flush.

I've always been of the opinion that I don't care where the pins come from......just as long as they come.....

 

Moisture content can be a tricky thing for sure........for side pins, next runs obviously, you could try the tub liner thing and also a bubble wrap on top of the sub for inducing pins on the surface....

 

If they mature, and those look like they will, you're.......Golden.......

After dunking im wrapping up the 2nd flush. I pulled the plastic off when I soaked them and I got sidepins. Bottom pins. Twisty angle pins.



And then some decent little patches.

Tossing them in the compost today. Didn't post too many pics, it wasn't the most impressive of grows. But after 2 flushes I kept around 25g dried. There was a lot more growing out the sides and underneath, but I only kept the best ones and tossed most of the growth. I'm going to have to work on my sub hydration. Seems like it dried out right away and kind of struggled to produce. My spawn ratio was pretty low so that might have contributed too.

So. Not super impressive
But certainly enough to brighten a few rainy days.

So I was moving stuff around and found a jar of GT that I must have left aside cuz it was slow. Decided to mix a little tray up with it just to use it up. Used a little extra water in my coir this time and will try for a better spawn/sub ratio. This time I skipped the coffee grounds and just going straight CVG without pasturizing.



While I have some mixed I think I'm going to make a tray or 2 from some Tampa on brown rice. Decided to restart the stone jars on rye grass seed.

First little pins from the random slow jar. Not gonna be much-it was only a 1/2 pint jar. But coming home from a long day hangin drywall to a few little pins gave me a smile.

When I took the pics and then looked at them... the difference in contrast was so much I wanna put all of them up.
