After some time considering the many courses of action here, I'm in no denial of a need for a more consistent work-out routine; However I think that in order for me to stay with a self-driven routine I need to get my mind in better order.

As much as some may like to insist that technology has spurred the rise in Attention Deficit Disorder, I have been afflicted with this issue since long before technology had a consistent presence in my life on a day to day basis. Attention Deficit Disorder is directly related to a part of the brain known as the Executive Function. This part of the brain is where routine commands come from ranging from self-care, self-hygeine, and is the part of the brain that is supposed to light up with activity when there is something that one needs to do. It is part of how priorities are created for the individual. Attention Deficit Disorder is a disorder where this part of the brain fails to function in the way that it is supposed to. Many of the things that many people may be able to acheive or accomplish without a second thought, or struggle, are things that I have a tendency to struggle with on a day to day basis. This goes way beyond the influence of technology in my life.

I have yet to shoot for an hour of meditation, but I am starting a microdose regimen and have begun dedicating time to meditate to work my way up.

As a fellow ADDer. Don't sit for an hour LMAO.
I'm on the spectrum of I can't sit still for more then 30 seconds. Cat jumps on my lap and sorry dude I'm just going to move. Wait where was I going...

I believe the increase in ADD is from our shitastic diet and increase in plastics introduced since we were in the fetus. Probably plastics in sperm and egg tissue too.

ADD. Diet, exercise, mindfulness, and establishing a routine that you can't break!

My biggest issue and why I am now doing office work instead of patient interaction. Lot of is shit I swore I would avoid cuz my mom is a Karen. I definitely never go off in public. But when I get home it's like jekyll and hyde.

Luckily work was just me and my patients. So never any opposition there. With upper management or sales reps which is rare. I'd be a dick they don't know patient care just $$$.

I've quit every corporate job after actively trying to get fired...I avoid triggers. Driving, busy hours at public places. I don't know if avoidance is the right action. I'm sick of therapist only BSing a little better then I do. Medications are not as good as some natural stuff, but where do you draw the line with cannabis and caffeine.

Noone wants to actively teach CBT or DBT or what they recommend for ADHD. TAKE STIMUILANTS!

Hello Salty. I dont sure, that 1 hour of meditation is most effective. Zen monks use 30-40 min sessions. But we are not monks, and i suggest you to start from 10 min per day. And yeah, 6 tenmin-sessions per day is more effective, than only one 1 hour session.
Problem of meditation - it does NOT something usefull, it does NOT heal depression or make you happy. Meditation is another side of doing. Its just sitting, haha.
I was trying to use both ways: meditation and psilo microdosing. Didnt work for me, micro make ur perception free and give a chance to change regular behavioral patterns, but meditation just stops perception, destroys it with all behavior changes and micro results, haha.
Also, i recommend you awesome short book from Janwillem "Empty mirror: year in zen monastery".

I want something like this.....hahahaha and a float tank too.....

My chair is where I meditate most of the time... IF I maintain good posture....

But westerners really learn to sit like shit, it's no wonder we ache like hell....our posture sucks....

A really cool exercise is to learn to concentrate on the feeling at the end of your nostrils when you breathe and nothing else......

You can use that to learn NOT to get frustrated with yourself and a wondering mind......

I love to gaze at a candle in a crystal ball with cyclical deliberate breathing patterns, let the eyes go out of focus and breathe......

Running water and wind, other white and brown noise sources, waterfalls for sure.....

Be gentle with yourself and simply return to the breath.......

A

Looks snug. I'd love to try a float tank. Never had the opportunity yet.
