After some time considering the many courses of action here, I'm in no denial of a need for a more consistent work-out routine; However I think that in order for me to stay with a self-driven routine I need to get my mind in better order.
As much as some may like to insist that technology has spurred the rise in Attention Deficit Disorder, I have been afflicted with this issue since long before technology had a consistent presence in my life on a day to day basis. Attention Deficit Disorder is directly related to a part of the brain known as the Executive Function. This part of the brain is where routine commands come from ranging from self-care, self-hygeine, and is the part of the brain that is supposed to light up with activity when there is something that one needs to do. It is part of how priorities are created for the individual. Attention Deficit Disorder is a disorder where this part of the brain fails to function in the way that it is supposed to. Many of the things that many people may be able to acheive or accomplish without a second thought, or struggle, are things that I have a tendency to struggle with on a day to day basis. This goes way beyond the influence of technology in my life.
I have yet to shoot for an hour of meditation, but I am starting a microdose regimen and have begun dedicating time to meditate to work my way up.
