Well I have decided to go ahead and build a Martha grow tent. I've ordered the tent, drip pan, ducted fan, and a humidity controller. I'm debating on getting a co2 controller to maintain levels, but they are cost prohibited so I may look at a DIY solution. I already have an ultrasonic humidifier so I am going to use it to see how it goes. If it works well I might modify it to accept a larger water reservoir.

Nice! I'd like to see how it progresses. I'm also going to put together a Martha in the near future.

So after looking some more I decided to pull the trigger on the c02 regulator. I figured what was the point of doing 80% when 100% was a click away. Also it had a cyber deal which was an extra 10% off so that marketing definitely worked.

Inkbird ICC-500T CO2 https://www.amazon.c...ding=UTF8&psc=1

This setup should be pretty bullet proof. I have a inkbird temp controller already so i will incorporate that as well.

So all in we will have control of: humidity, CO2, FAE, and Temp. It will be by a window wich never gets direct sun so that should suffice. If not I got leds out the wazoo.

Cost so far:

Tent: $33
Pan: $14
Humidity controller: $32
CO2 controller: $127
Fan: $23
Humidifier: $47
Ducting: $12

Total: $288

Northspore sells their boomroom kit for $299.99, but it doesnt come with CO2 regulator so I think I did pretty good on the build.

Anything you guys feel like I missed or should add?

You shouldn't need the Co2 controller, everything else looks nice.  I run a passive setup myself, but Active setup is ALL good too(it's what I'm going to do with a Big Tent setup eventually).

Got the tent and humidity controller in. Went ahead and put it together at lunch and gave it a whirl.48b04122f3d25341699e9fd8cfe47a76.jpg

Yeah. I went back and forth on the Co2 controller and decided to go ahead. When I think of Fae i think more of a co2 concentration. If I cycle the fan with the CO2 controller i should be able to dial the Fae/co2/02. This all is just an experiment to see if I wanna take this to the next level.

I hear you... I was at that phase myself at one time... I decided a hose was better than the humidifier in the tent, I ran it on the top, bottom, middle shelves... all for the sake of experience.   :smoking-hookah:

Pretty sweet. I'm hoping to start mine at some point. Not in much hurry since the pan prints aren't here yet. Hint hint...nudge nudge.

King Oysters do MUCH better in High Air environments and is easier to control with a Casing layer (Thick).  I run LIGHT passive constant Air (small clip fan outside of tent) and everything is Still dry and kicks off at 95% and climbs to almost 97 at the peak.  Mushrooms in general, whatever you are growing, prefer wet/dry cycle for surface level EVAP.  For Example, when I run Shiitakes, I mist the Block 3 times a day(yes IN the tent) for the first 2 days, and on the 3rd day that morning, I give them One last misting (Big Pins by then) and just let the tent do all the work for me after that.  I've ran Open block Kings, it's Doable, but my best fruits have been CASED.

I normally run Peat/Verm Calcium Carbonate pasteurized (90 minutes) and keep it simple, if I'm out I substitute for Coco, the Block in the previous post was Coco.  You can see it didn't overgrow or overlay the Coco At All.  Uncased, I would run as high of humidity you can without it Raining in your tent and steady Air with a tight differential (3-4 points Max).

Those are ready to pick once you see the lip roll up almost all the way, go too far and it's a Sporulation Fest.  If you've never eaten Kings before, MAN are you in for a Treat.

Yeah I am pretty excited. I am picking and cooking them tomorrow. Will be incorporating them with some shrimp and grits. Probably treat them like a scallop.
