I just knocked back 1.5 or so that had been in the freezer for two days. Not looking for a big trip, but just wanted to see how it worked with the cooking sherry at a lower level. It's 20 to 8 in the evening, and my heart wasn't really in it as I have had a LOT of life stress this week. If this goes true to form, it might help break all that bullshit loose and help me shed it off and be done with it. I was tempted to put in another 2 just to make it more meaningful, the Flashing Rooster's mild trip seemed to be exactly what I was looking for this time around. Life has been one huge fuckin mess lately, but tonight I have candles lit, several DVD's lined up and nobody will bother me from now to 3-4 pm tomorrow. I think it is gonna go well. Looking forward to the music part for damn sure. Love ya'll, and I will report back how it differed from the 1 hit I took a couple weeks ago. Should be chill and minimal as far as a trip goes, and my dog is already stuck to my side. I will let ya know how it went. :)

4 and a half hours later, and this has been an awesome evening. Got some stuff done that needed doing and still watched a couple of good movies to have a small trip on. I still have a pretty good sparkle going on so I figure to be up late. I just love the way that the sherry brings music to life, even at a low dose. I watched Guardians of the Galaxy and Heavy metal, (still on) and like I said got a lot of stuff done tonight before I settled in to watch the visual movies. I had completely forgotten what an amazing movie Heavy Metal is as just a generally good groove and visuals too. The Cooking Sherry most definitely takes the edginess off of a trip and had me smiley all night so far. So glad I got turned on to this awesome addition. :)

I tried another dose on the weekend as a follow up, went for somewhere around the 1.5 size tab. I gotta say it did not feel as nice as the one the week before where I took less than a tab and mixed with sherry but it has me wondering how much of that is due to other factors. It was close, but not quite as euphoric. I changed a couple of things but how much of it is due to the normal variance one tends to see in their trips I am unsure. I have had some absolutely incredible mushroom trips like it before but never managed to grasp why that was so.

 

Anyway this time I used a bottle of sherry I got from the store and perhaps let the stir process take four hours instead of three due to running errands. I have some suspicions about the type of sherry I bought, perhaps it did not contain as much of that gas that is needed. 

 

I will do some more testing over this year to see if I can see a strong distinction, round three only seemed to confuse my results. It felt somewhere in between the first dose with no Sherry and the second dose with it.

Continued studies last weekend with another half tab and I seemed to have had a better time again. Even if the effect is placebo which I am not saying it is but to make the point that I seem to be sold on the idea that it makes for an easier more relaxed trip. As well I gained an appreciation for sherry and some Japanese plum wine on the journey

God bless my friends, I was able to procure some paper.  I haven't done any in over 10 years, and anymore I only do shrooms 2 or 3 timed a year.  So anyway, I tried a full hit over the weekend (w/o sherry).   My wife was taking a quilting class in town, and I was home alone, and I totally tripped balls hard.   In retrospect, I think I should have tried about half that dose.  It was a good time, but man, it took me to the moon, and beyond.

 

It was a beautiful day, lots of warm sunshine reflecting off the snow with just an occasional breeze.  I spent several hours on the porch just taking in the beauty that I am surrounded by.  It seemed a bit harsh, and was super intense, but all in all it was a good time.  I'm going to have to try it with sherry now, and see if that takes the edge off for me.

Juthro brother, put that same dose in a shot of cooking sherry and leave it in the freezer overnight. Take it out, thaw it, and smash that hit around in the glass. Knock it back, and I think you will have a very relaxed and beautiful trip. Every time I have tried it with cooking sherry has been damn near orgasmic, without I trip good still, but have the tooth grinding and up too long effect. I think I will be using my Sherry with every trip from now on. So sad not many have tried this to give a basis for comparison with/without. It most certainly bears more input from my fellow topiates. It's kind of important, so hey folks, if you are going to do a dose, especially if you have tried that same piece before, weigh in on this! Your input matters! Looking forward to my next one.

I definitely want to try again, but with the sherry this time.  I will check in to let y'all know what I think, though I doubt I'll get a good chance to go again for at least a couple of weeks.  I've got some visitors I've got to deal with, and I don't want to do it tripping balls, lol
