Hey All, It was Only a matter of time until I opened up shop in the GrassRoots Section.  Quick introduction, I have two 2x4 tents, One is a 2x4x5 and the other is a 2x4x6ft7.  The smaller tent has the QB132's 3500k that I've been running for a solid 3 years (Or So) and you can get these boards really close to the plants without burning, wish they weren't out of stock and I think discontinued as well.  Bummer.  This setup is Slightly overpowered with a Meanwell 320H C2100A (Wire in Series), but the Highest I've ran it is 280 watts, and it's overkill, Setup does excellent in the 250 - 260 range.

The Bigger Gorilla Tent has 3 QB96's (used to run 2, but 3 is better coverage and 2 ran hot when you turn them up) and a 320H 54A Meanwell Driver.  These are wired in parallel with Wago Connectors.  This setup here,  I have maybe 4 runs on, I used to have a 2x2 (Many Cycles Ago) but the zippers were done for and it was SUPER Old and paid for itself over the years... AND then Some.  Preciatcha' Jardin (upgraded to a 2x4).  Oh, the small tent is a budget Vivo tent, fan, and filter combo with the speed controller.  Very simple setup 12" worth of passive intake (2 6's) with bug screens and the Bigger Vortex 4" Exhaust fan for the taller tent with a Rhino Filter.  A couple of Clip on Fans, and Were OFF.

I just fed both tents tonight, which is the beginning of Day 14, RIGHT on schedule and the girls are drinking every 3 days Like Clockwork.  5 Gallon Brewer putting in Work.

P.S I was asked to put together or How to put a setup (Boards or just DIY) together So I'll get that up and Rollin' Soon as well.

Thank you so much, the color almost looks fake, but no camera trickery, that's also from a very old camera.  Thanks for droppin' a line and stopping In.  I just gave them there 3 week feeding and it really kicks in the Frost.  Positive NH4 drench last night and foliar spray this morning before Lights OUT.  I always get a kick out of seeing them frost up in 24hrs from the Cation drench and spray and jumpstarts the Bloom process.  Bud sites are Set, no longer stretching, it's GO Time.

I'll be cleaning up the larfy branches and a light defoliation (mainly inner leaves blocking nodes and light) tomorrow or Friday.  20 Days Down, the Beginning of Day 21.  <Gong Gong>.

P.S thank you @YoshiTrainer, I liked your post but didn't respond, HOW Rude of Me.    Appreciate you coming By!

Thanks @Arathu, another passion of mine I've been at for a long time, Way longer than even the Fungus.... My Friend, Happy Haze I mean... Days.

I'm brewing up the next feeding for tomorrow night, they drink 3/4's of a gallon every three days like clockwork.  The pots are very light in weight terms and ready for the next gulp.

Put in work in the Gorilla tent, not too hard this round, a few small branches removed that won't amount to anything anyway, and Big Inner Fans blocking light penetration.  The plants range for 25 to almost 27 inches tall, this is the range I prefer, no taller than 32in.  I don't do better with long Veg times (Not a big enough tent and need a much bigger pot than a 5 gallon smartie), and these were flipped at day 47.  I've ran the tent with 2 plants in 7's and works all the same, but I rifle through genetics all the time and prefer 3 plants per for variety.  All feminized seeds.  Keep Em' Green folks.

What's GOOD this Sunday Morning.  SPRING is here, My favorite Season.

Cleaned up the plants the other night, not too many straggler thin branches to clip, quite a bit of HUGE fans to clear out of the center of the plants blocking light and nodes (and dead growth not getting light).  Some of these leaves are Hand size and can really cost you in the end with wispy airy buds, instead of beautiful dense nugs, even the smaller ones will be Rock solid.  All tents clean, and lights adjusted for nice even coverage of all the nodes.  Today is 24 Days complete and when the lights come on later tonight, beginning of day 25.  Happens fast, have a wonderful day everyone.

Just started my outdoor babies on Patty's day.

One of these days I want an indoor tent. Always just stuck to outdoor. It never quite reaches its full potential though.

I started with Outdoor grows, always a soft spot for me, but it's just not possible anymore in my situation.  I used to like the Outdoor for the "BULK" up (stockpile) and then rock the tents for 2 cycles and have SO much overstock.  All good, 2-3 cycles a year does the trick for me and a few others these days.

Thank your Kind Sir.  This Round has been going flawless, and I usually have minimal or NO issues, but yeah.... I cleaned up all the plants a few nights ago and 2 days later the pots were light, but moist enough to go the 3rd day.  They are all thirsty buggers, I can DIG it... Drink UP.

No Light issues with the QB 132's, those 96's are touchy buggers, but ironically, it's the plant with the biggest buds right now so, OH well (Sorry Fan Leaves).   :meditate:

Alright, so let's circle back about building your own light, or really just getting boards and a driver, the frame is optional.  The important thing with boards or the QB 96's style, is matching the Driver to the boards.  It's not too hard to do, just need to match the board output, which in my case with the 132 boards is 2000mA.  My driver is actually over-powered just a little (C2100A), but it's the closest I could get to 2000mA, and these boards are known to be underrated and can go up to 320 watts or so MAXXED out.  I am currently running them at 280 watts, or 70 watts per board.  I usually run them around 260 or slightly higher, but the lights are bit higher up this round to get the outer branches better coverage.  I have a Lux meter that I dial in the canopy with, and a Reader that tells me the Output of the boards (280 watts).  So, once you have matched your combo, or plenty of info online that has already done the work for you, especially since the strips are popular to build, the Driver will tell you how to put it together.

First Picture for a Visual

P1130675.JPG

So much information on the Driver, but here's the Key.  Always remember it's Output to Input.  Meaning, the OUTPUT of the wall power (3 prong Plug), to the Input of the device (Lights).  Don't over complicate this.  When you plug in any device, the power from the wall is the reason why the device works RIGHT.  Without the Output of power, whether that's solar, hydro, or traditional On the Grid, it's supplying your house somehow. Back on track, the left side of the driver is the input from the wall.  See where I am going with this.  It's the side you wire the Power Plug to.  NOW, if you use a MW driver, or drivers like I do, the colors are different to wire up.  Here in America, we use black, green, and white.  The driver is setup for UK style wiring, it's no problem, the Brown is LIVE in UK, Green (yellow strip) is Ground, and Blue is the Neutral.  The driver also will tell you what the colors are to the right on the Output side if you don't understand the symbols.  Brown is Plus and Blue is Minus.  So it's as simple as Black/Brown, Green/GreenYellow, and White/Blue.  You can wire up your plug with Wago's like I did, or a permanent connection with butt connectors or shrink wrap.  Whatever you want to do, I used an old Computer Power Cord I had laying around, but if you don't have one, they are under 10 bucks at any hardware store.

P1130676.JPG

I can detach in the Matter of seconds with the Wagos.  Alright, halfway home, the Plug is wired up, now it's time to Wire up the Lights (Right Side).  You will have two wires,  positive and negative or Brown and Blue.  You will need some solid core wire and the positive will go to one side of the positive board (or reader first in my case) and the negative will go to the opposite side (farthest right board) to a negative.  Now connect the negative to positves (Across the boards I went left to right) 3 times to complete the wiring.  There are plenty of pictures out there for a great visual of wiring in Series.  I used to wire Subs in Series when I was into BASS in my Ride when I was younger.  I basically went postive wire to the farthest left board since i have 4, the Negative wire to the farthest Right board, and make the other three connections from negative to positive.  I promise, it works, if you are wiring in Parallel, it's straight forward, positive to positive and negative to negative wires for all.  It's much more wiring needed to wire in Parallel.  Here is my Parallel 3 QB 96's.

P1130756.JPG

P1130673.JPG

Anytime you see a driver with 54A (Volts) or similar, it's a parallel driver, and for series, it will be in mA format (C2100A).  The A means it's adjustable and can be adjusted with a small Phillips screwdriver.

I used 1/16th inch cheap aluminum framing for the frame, I went thinner since my Driver is remote and not in the tent.  Makes life easier to adjust and less heat build up in the grow room.  I didn't have a way to cut metal at the time other than a hacksaw, but worked all the same with a little elbow grease.  Bought a cheap pack of nuts/bolts/ and washers to connect the corners, drilled a few holes and an easy frame.

P1130681.JPG

My drill bit broke (Old and brittle) drilling holes to mount the boards, so I improvised and used some small zip ties I had laying around.  I doubled up the zip ties on the corners just in case one decides to break (fault tolerance).  I just never went back and drilled in some M3 screws is all.

Here's the Reader, very simple to wire Up.

P1130677.JPG

Diagram on the back, but u basically wire them into the reader or DC IN (Always Output to Input hence, DC IN), and then you go to the lights instead of being a direct connect to the boards.  That's it, it really sounds harder than it is.  Once you understand the Brown to Black Green to Green and White to Blue.  ALL good.  That's MY Time.

Hey Ya'll, been SO busy with life and Out of Town, but I meant to throw up some pics of the harvest.  Really happy with the results, other than some crispy leaves, which still had trichomes on them, the FADE went well.  The buds were harvested May 5th and went just under a week drying in branch form.  I prefer drying the whole plant, but it's difficult to do since I wash my plants.  I just cut the big Main branches and keep it as simple and effective as possible, otherwise, washing individual buds would be time consuming.  Is it worth the effort...?  Absolutely.  I've been washing my buds since 2014/15 and it's a once you crossover situation.... you can't go back.  Anyway, not selling anything, but the Bucket speaks for itself (3 plants worth of 6).

Thank You So Much @YoshiTrainer... The Wedding Cake and White Widow are those fast curing ready to GO when you are.  Really nice Girl Scout Cookie/Cake flavor with the Wedding Cake even at a week Dry.  One of those strains that never loses its smell throughout the curing process.  The Wedding Cake experienced the worst of the heat stress/too much light situation but will be probably my favorite smoke of this Run, Time will Tell.  Appreciate you dropping By Kind Sir.

Appreciatchu' Arathu... I used to do really well without bubbling my mixture, but it's worth the extra step No doubt.  I could have easily of watered every other day they were drinking so quickly.  I did a few times mid flower, they were just too dry to go another day.  Other than me getting greedy with the light, A very trouble-free grow that was on Auto Pilot most of the way.  For your smoking pleasure!  <ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ#~~~   :hookah:
