I'm looking at that trying to figure out exactly what in the hell is going on there. But desperate needs=desperate deeds.

Well to the left is my original "humidifier" which apparently is more aroma therapy than humidifier. All it does is pull air through a wet paper filter. So me and a roll of tape, a clear plastic bag, and an old pimento cheese container git together, and piped that air into the bottom of the Martha, on the right. I melted holes in top and stuck self stick filters on them. Probably have to do a few more. But itbgets some fresh air in, and helps disperse the mist a little more evenly. And cost zero dollars.

And cost zero dollars.

$$BONUS$$

That was close to what I was guessing. Excellent makeshift ingenuity. Hope it works out good for you.

The black poplar. A little better than I thought, some tiny clusters showing up. Those "overacheivers" threw me off.

Nice. Did you just slice the bag in a few spots? I was thinkin of trying those in a shoe box like cubes.

Yeah I sliced. But I think they would work in a shoe box, or top fruited with the whole top of the bag open.

I had problems, bags flooding and pooling water, trying to top fruit blocks in my tent and will probably take blocks out of bags for the most part now. Still, storms have now given me the opportunity for more logs...

But side slices in bags seem to act like cracks in tree bark I think.....This has to be the best hobby ever....

Good looking stuff deth....

About to harvest these I guess. Not sure the secret to getting nice long teeth, but they seem stalled here.

And a better picture of the black poplar clustering

FAE is critical for getting nice spine formation on the Lions Mane, 8x - 12x per hour.  It will be worth dialing the growing conditions in in my opinion, the texture of the spines is the best part of Lions Mane. I'm betting it was still delicious though.

An update on the black poplar. The chonky ones actually have open caps today, think I will pick those and see if the cluster performs better.20220526_130329_(1).jpg

These are all turning out chonky. I've seen a few complaints amongst the gourmet community about this phenotype. I think Im going to pick up a commercial strain and see if that does better.
