When doing extracts, filtration can be the slowest part of the process. Thanks to Greenskeeper and Tregar, I've learned about turkey basters and funnels stuffed with cotton balls for fine filtration. With a glass turkey baster, you may get away with a wider variety of chemicals. For plastic funnels, I stick with dilute acetic acid or citric.
While the cotton balls work for fine filtration, for filtering the stuff in between your wire mesh and the cotton balls, Polyfil works nicely! Depending on how tight you pack it in the funnel, you can remove all that stuff stuck in your kitchen towel filter. A couple passes through the funnel with the Polyfil being pressed tighter each time works pretty well. In between each pass, you rinse out the Polyfil and pack it back in.
Btw, for those running CIELO, Polyfil apparently is safe w/EA. I'd personally do an evap tests first to be sure.

Awesome Yoshitrainer! Cotton ball stuffed in a funnel is one of the greatest inventions of all time, used countless of times over a decade. Cool on the polyfill, I use it as well.
