20220425_094915.jpg I am confused as to why this is happening.  I am using shoebox totes, sterilized coir and verm and getting the same results in all totes.  I cant get my cubes to fruit  Advice?

This doesn’t look like psilocybe cubensis. You may have gotten a mislabeled culture or something. Those almost look like cordyceps fruits to me, in which case, congratulations! If it is cubensis, maybe you've chanced upon an odd mutation that doesn't fruit normally.

I was thinking the same thing, looks like Cordys or something.  Hopefully you can see some fruits mature to try and identify.  The surface may need moisture, looks on the dry side, but maybe it's not as dry as the photo is showing.  Curious to see how this one ends up.

Definitely not cubensis there.

But congratulations on such a prolific pinset!!!

Now to let them mature and find out what they are.

Enoki looks very similar while growing invitro.

well there are 2 different spore sprints involved so I dont think it is  mistaken culture.  One is redboy and the other is "cold cube" made from my spore prints so there is something else going on.  I thought too that it was like a xyleria or something.  I dont get it

it does look like xylaria. I think I wiumd let it grow a bit to identify. I dint know how or why, but had to come from the coir.
