I have a curious quandary I need help with. I have a very nice little patch of p Aztecorum in my garden. This spring my wife hung a bird feeder above it. It's kind of nice because I can see the birds from where I sit. But they go through a lot of seeds and scatter a lot of shells.

 

The priority is to protect the patch. Do the seed hulls pose a threat? Maybe a benefit?

There is no threat to your patch and seed hulls will go back to the earth(compost) all the same and add nutritional value.  I know Soy Hulls can grow some Big Oysters with hardwood pellets, I personally use Rice bran and do well.  I hope to see some Aztecorum fruits in your future.  Please share if you do.  All the best.
