I would like to start this thread by thanking Shobimono for the killer PESA spores traded way back for some empty syringes - I have been growing then invitro and am (at this very moment) pressure cooking my spawnbags recieved yesterday . So I've got about...16 quarts of rye pressure cooking in bags that I will innoculate with your fine spores which have been growing well for me invitro. Thanks to Rodger for the rye help, to Stephen and Hippie for helping me get my head out of my ass in reagrds to bags (archived stuff mostly), and most of all thanks to Shobi - without the spores there is no purpose.

So I don't know if I've been happier about a mushroom ever. These things are fucking HUGE!!! I just took 40.6 grams off cake 1 and 34.5 off cake 2 - these things are invitro and they're flushing larger than some terrarium cakes I've had. I am anxious to see what subsequent flushes bring, and am really pumped because I've got 20 jars, about half of which are pinning, so I can see a mushroom at any given stage of growth at any given time. This is the fun part, kids...

Thanks to all for everything here - you know who you are - for everything. This place changed my life; without many of you, I wouldn't be me.

While I would like to feel that I was part of your success, I am sorry to say that I cannot. Your original PESA print did not come from me.
My print library, does not include a PESA. I don't currently have one and never have. 'Course I wouldn't turn down a print if you want to throw one my way :)
Another reason they didn't come from me is that I wouldn't have traded for syringes because I can get all I need from a local farm supply store.
Congrats on your grow and I'd love to see some pics.

lol I have no friggin' idea
But I owe someone from Clio, MI
a big fat-assed thank you
[EDIT: if you're the one from Clio please don't post that here,
but do PM me so I can tell you how cool you are]
I'm pretty sure we did a trade back in October/November
made 20+ syringes with them about two months back
and I harvested another cake today
could have done it yesterday but I said "no
wait
I'll bet they get bulbous."
And sure enough, they did. Motherfucker weighs in at
48.6 grams.
Looking at the other jars, I'm planning on getting a good
35-45 from each cake from this first flush;
but I hate to count chickens before they're hatched so I won't
make claims as to what I'll get on the recently dunked ones
but I shall keep you informed on subsequent flushes.

On a note of much more interesting note:
invitro is amazing. Allow me to explain.
I'm getting an average flush here of say 35 wet grams,
which is better than my norm in a terrarium which is about 20-25 grams;
now, 25 grams from a terrariumed cake will dry to about 2.3, 2.4, maybe 2.5.
But these invitro PESA are drying from 35 grams to 4.3 grams.
That's right bitches: invitro may be uglier and annoying to harvest,
and I'll even admit that they take longer to grow,
but it can flush just as well if not better than regular terrarium growing
and will be denser fruits i.e. less waterweight.
And here's what else I noticed!
When done, the cake is dry - I mean dry dry dry. Dry.
When one picks a cake in a terrarium,
while it's not moist like the day it was dunked,
it's not usually dry like this.
These are dry.
This leads me to the conclusion that invitro cakes
both lock humidity in better as well as,
for whatever reason,
utilize more water more efficiently without having to be hydrated again.
Madness...

I've been dancing a perpetual jig for the last 72 hours.

lol

Yeah I've already gotten the "Woah, dude, that's like a wall of mushroom!" comment. Having two inch long, one inch wide, eigth inch thick mushrooms does look kind of wierd, I must admit. And, when/if I ever get a camera, I'll post pics. Shouldn't be incriminating my crazy ass anyway...lol

Today's pick - 36.5 off the one, 44.9 off the other - yesterday's pick has fan-dried to 7 grams (from 45) in 24 hours and am anticipating it to have an end weight of around 5.3-5.6 when they finish up in the next 12-16. This is the easiest and most successful grow I have ever had.

Python, buddy, your Texans are next, but I might wait until I move to a new area to try them out - still have one PESA print left, too; only bummer with these guys is I can't print them.

Just picked the smallest flushes so far; 15 grams and 30 grams. The first cake was first flush undunked, the second was first flush dunked. Dunk your cakes, kids.
