It's an O and a D, for Omentheduck - crop circle style? or is it the quote that helped?

A little photographic fuckery?

Is there some significance to the letters I have no clue, looks like a standard cattle brand if you ask me

Its the new trendy thing for aliens to do, the old crop circle meme was so 90's. These new younger generation of aliens have smaller spacecraft that fly indoors and leave burn marks at the entrances of the local bbq smokehouses or pubs

The photograph has been omentheduck's avatar for at least five years to my recollection. I tend to think that what was "helpful", was the quote from irishlion.

Until he pops back in again, we are not likely to get any clarification.

I miss omen around here................

He kept the POTM going around here as well as the Picture of the Day for many years. I only started running it because I loved it, and couldn't just let it end when he left on a hiatus for a few years.

Good vibes to you omen.....................

I didn't see the quote at first, due to the color of the text being almost the same as the background, but I agree that it is likely the focus of his post.

I couldn't see the quote when viewing forum on desktop computer!
For whatever reason it is showing up OK on mobile rendering of forum.
Not sure it helps others but here's the quote again hopefully without the contrast issues:

Well that makes too much sense Sky

He was sharing what he thought was a meaningful quote and the picture was of little significance I see.

Perhaps an interesting lesson on how group think works and that my assumptions were based on previous members comments rather than the source material. As in the focus on the photograph not the quote. Far out

Hey old friend, hope all is well with you?

And correct, for at least 5 years if not longer. That is a picture I took of an emblem on a old horse barn  behind where I  worked at the time, as a produce manger many moons back. I would go on walks back there to smoke and feed the horse apples, Gala were her favorite.

No Clue on the (O) (D) original meaning truthfully but it worked for me at the time.

I truly appreciate the sentiment sky, I miss being around too, and thank you for keeping POTM alive, I did truly love doing it!

Boom...Hey! Some of us are still around..

Might I add that this thread gave me a good laugh for my night cap!
