Hey everyone after a long and arduous hiatus, I am returning to the magical world of mycology with a grow log. I have already made 26 quarts of spawn on popcorn from mss, and spawned to coir and gypsum in 4 monotubs! I will be taking some good pics soon of the progress. I missed all you guys, and this magical hobby, so Stoked to be back!!

Looks really good.   I have several things of popcorn and I been thinking of using it for my Atl7 syringe I got.  But I am thinking its really hard to hydrate but I cant recall if I have done it before.  i was thinking of soaking it 24 hrs. and then PC then wait 24 then PC again.  What did you do get the popcorn to take water?

its super easy, I just pc the corn kernels for 20 minutes. Just make sure there is enough water in there to be soaked up by the popcorn, lay them out on a tray to let some of the excess moisture evaporate. I freeze the extra hydrated corn for later as well. super convenient. I've never used corn until this go around either. it can be difficult to break and shake I've noticed though.

Looks like a nice start here and a BIG project.  Welcome back to the best hobby ever, that being said, don't take this the wrong way, no judgment from me, but those mono's need some moisture beads friend.  You may have too much air at this point of the cycle, if you keep the air the same, just mist until pins, or dial the Air down.  Options and MORE options.  Hope to Congratulate you at the FINISH Line.   :meditate:

We have the same issue (or similar); dry environments require a thick Sudo casing (In my experience) or a traditional thick peat casing.  I do So much better when I take the extra step.  When I'm testing single quarts usually, I just go thick Sudo most of the time.  In your situation, I would give a decent misting, and let it settle.  Go back in an hour or so and check it out, see if there are beads, or did it just absorb.  Smaller applications of misting are easier to manage to slowly get her back in order.  That being said Sir, your mycelium looks healthy AF.

Thanks Mush! 3/4 of my monos have 2 quarts of coir on top. The 4th I honestly was being a bit lazy with. I expect it to fruit fast and spend its nutrients pretty quickly…. I kind of made too much spawn though, still have 9 quarts almost 100%. So I found some a fun dish to do a little bottle type grow in, also a large glass container of which held a candle previously.

I've grown them in old coffee cans, Popcorn tins from Christmas, trays in the Martha, but I prefer 12 quart tubs these days with a quart of spawn.  I'm more into exotics currently but I have a soft spot for cubes, and it's easy to get too many REAL quick.  Can't wait to see your results... and ALL the Best.

Well on of my tubs started pinning early…at least I think early. Anyone have any ideas why?

Some of these caps have weird growths on them. Is this a mutation or contam?

Sweet! Great work man.....IME B+ definitely has a tendency toward shrooms growing right out of the caps of other shrooms.....those are mild mutations...

Certainly not unheard of behavior or characteristic......completely expected to me anyway....

Beautiful grow....

After work harvest! 350 wet grams this time. This remaining portion got much larger than I though it would! Total wet weight from this flush is at 606 grams. Pretty dang excited right now!
