Has anyone had any success growing Sceletium tortuosum?

Its a succulent that aparently has quite interesting effects (not psychadelic).

I am thinking of branching out into other succulents :-)

No first hand experience with this particular succulent. I am also interested in growing unusual plants with medicinal properties and alkaloids, even when i have no plan to utilize them that way.

I have seen this plant pretty readily available on Etsy. Care sounds pretty standard for succulents. Well draining soil, allowed to dry between watering's, bright light but not scalding sun. Feeding low nitrogen when actively growing.

It's actually a nice looking plant with a cool flower. I may have to join you in adding this to the collection...

Researching and thought this was interesting, esp. for a succulent:

.... "grows actively in colder and wetter winter times, becoming dormant with increasing heat, at which time watering should be slowed down and stopped in the hottest part of the year"

Seems to be the opposite of other succulents, but if so could prove very useful.

(I gather they are meaning colder and wetter on a Mediterranean scale, not Siberian)
