OK, I have spawn but do not know what to do next. I know they like hardwood but don't have much of an idea apart from that lol.

Nice! Add them to a tub of boiled alder chips and grow out the mycelium!  Then you can make an outdoor bed or tub and fruit them, but probably not this winter unless you're in the southern hemisphere.

Keep updating, and post in the woodlover's thread!

Im thinking of using oak chips. Bioling to rehydrate (currently they are dry), I'm going to biol for a few hours, drain, cool, then what?

Sterilise and do it in a bag? Or just take the boiled, drained oak and pop in a litter tray, mixed in with spawn?

I soaked Alder chips in straight water with a little bit of Bleach.  The bleach probably wasn't even necessary, but I figured if there were any mold spores on the wood that should remedy it.  Cyans are very forgiving with clean spawn.

Thanks. Looks like we're off to the races. Bag or tray?

I just used a shoebox tray 12qt, plenty of Air for colonization.  I'd recommend small chips to add to grains, then can expand with bigger chunks if needed for an Outdoor bed or whatever your plan is.

OK... I was thinking of using a flow hood to introduce my wheat spawn to it's bag x2 of sterilised oak spouse, sealing the bag, then popping the joyous couple in a temperature-controlled gorilla tent for their honeymoon. I'm thinking around 20 degrees should be good... leave them to do their own thing for a month. Hoping it's a happy honeymoon, at least. Once colonised I'm assuming cyanescens has a rather strong grip on it's substrate, and one I'll pop outside with some hardwood mulch while the other I may put in the bottom of the refridgerator with a few pasteurised chips (we are in spring, and going into summer, I'm not sure the outside lot will make it through. If it's a hot summer I an pretty sure it won't.)
