Found this massive toad in my compost pile- with another normal size one next to em- must be loving the flies

According to interwebs, given where I live it's most likely bufo/rhinella marinus-

I'm wondering though just how much difference there is between them and bufo alvarius- is my compost pile toad full of 5meodmt???

 the  only toad with  5meoDMT is the Colorado River Toad Bufo alvarius . it has  a limited range in U.S.

Toad venoms are wonderfully complex mixtures full of interesting molecules. That said, B. alvarius venom is the only one known to contain an O-methyl transferase enzyme, which is necessary to convert bufotenine (5-OH-DMT) into 5-MeO-DMT in vivo.

R. marinus are beautiful toads, but not psychedelic in the least. I'd leave that big Boi alone & let him enjoy his flies.
