Handmade by Owsley Stanley as a gift for Jerry Garcia, this little piece of iconic history has been found again. The pipe has tiger and jaguar symbols, as Owsley has been known to "give" some closer friends with spirit animals. Fortunately the current owner has an understanding of this item's significance, and does not want it to just end up in a hidden collection, or an obscure museum of smoking paraphernalia.....

 

I did not know that Owsley was a talented artist besides a chemist of renowned fame. I also found this a beautiful piece....

That is an amazing piece! Broke my heart when it wouldn't let me read the article. Need a subscription. Thank you for sharing this. I have a strange spirit connection to Gerry Garcia. (I always thought it was Jerry) and he has come to me in visiting dreams a few different times like we were old friends or something. I hope this brings on another one.
